This seems like an effective passive aggressive way of combatting widespread adoption of crypto. It could also lead to large public Israeli companies being left totally unable to compete if crypto use does boom and their companies are unable to transact in crypto meaning foreign companies will have to fill the gap.
I'm sure the government would make the change back eventually once widespread adoption occurs, but what kind of damage would already be done to their businesses?
