This is the first official development update from the ALTCOM team that goes into detail with all projects that are currently being worked on right now. This update will contain informationer from the following teams:
- Forum and overall update
- Sonohub Development team.
- Web Wallet Development team.
- Coin Development team.
The Forum and overall update
In the past 2 months, the team has been hard at work with the different projects.
The only project that we dont have an update on is our own exchange, this project has been set aside as we feel that the web wallet takes priority for now, and when its released, the exchange will be the main focus again for that development team.
We have this week updated our forums over at altcoincommunity.net.
A new design has been made and some new features has been added.
New ranks will also be introduced to the system that can be obtained by supporting the forums finacially.
This will grant you access to a hidden sub-forum for premium users only and a chat system.
The forums are still being worked on, it wont be finished for another 2 weeks or so.
If you have suggestions to new sub forums or features, then please tell us on our forums in the Suggestions section.
At last, a new wallet has been released just today.
It will introduce a new way for PoS to work, and if the community follows the guide that will be released within this week, then you can actively help ALTCOM to get more PoW blocks, and you dont lose any rewards by doing so.
More details will follow.
The Sonohub team has released the following update
Over the past month we've been hard at work with our own Sonohub application.
It will allow you to find new friends, chat with existing ones, play games together and much more.
To enable rapid development and getting out Sonohub to the community as soon as possible for testing and feedback we're currently focusing on a limited subset of features.
The first alpha release will be some time in the coming months and will at the very least have our chat and game launching features implemented and be available for Windows.
During the development of Sonohub we're also keeping other platforms in mind and hope to launch clients for Mac/Linux, Web and Android/iOS in the near future.
An important decision we've made on this early in development already is that there should be an easy way for people to bring their own bots onto our platform. This will be made possible through an IRC-like protocol, specifications of which will be released at a later date.
We hope to see you (and whatever wacky bots you come up with) on Sonohub very soon!
The Coin Development team has released the following updates for each wallet version
v1.0.0.0
-New Mining Algorithm Skunkhash Raptor-
POS 3.0 which now works with minStakeConfirmations instead of MinCoinAge.
minStakeConfirmations = 300 Blocks = ~ 5hrs
-5MB Blocksize (5xBitcoin Blocksize)
- Includes the file build.sh which allows you only by entering "./build.sh" to setup the daemon on Linux/Ubuntu and similar OS.
v1.1.0.0
v 1.1.0.0 ----Hardfork Block 75000
changes: -
Increasing MinStakeConfirmations from 300 to 1440 ( 5hrs to 1day)
This is a change that was made because most of the PoW Blocks prioritised lower than the PoS Blocks due to the 300 Stakeconfirmation which allows you to stake every 5hr. This means 1 Stake input is able to stake 4-5 times a day. We increased this to 1440 confirms(1day) per input. This should result in more PoW Blocks.
-Added CheckpointsCheckpoints added at Block 1000 - 2000 - 5000 - 10000 - 25000 - 35000 - 45000
-Client version update to 1.1.0.0-
Protocol version update to 70001 from 70000
-Hardfork set to Block 75000, everyone with lower Protocol Version than 70001 will be banned from the Network.
Here is the code:
if (nBestHeight >= 75000 && pfrom->nVersion < 70001)
badVersion = true;
v1.1.0.1
Changes:
-Added Blockbrowser to Wallet
This Blockbrowser was added to the Wallet for users to be able to check statistics and see the current hashrate, stake weight and more.
-Nodes added to the Code
New Nodes has been added to the code to make synchronisation easier as we have received complaints that some users were having difficulties.
-Client version update to 1.1.0.1
-Protocol version update to 70002 from 70001
v1.1.0.2
Changes:
-Automatic Config Creation
This Version include the auto config creator. If you make a fresh build it will automatically create a config file with addnodes.
-Added Checkpoints
Checkpoints added at Block 50000 - 60000
-Client version update to 1.1.0.2
-Protocol version update to 70003 from 70002
-Stake Combine and Split Changes
The Current Version splitting the coins if the stakeinput is > 200 Coins.
We will change this to stakeinputs > 1000 CoinsThe Current Version combining the coins if the stakeinput is < 100 Coins
We will change this to stakeinput < 500 Coins.
This means: If you have a Stakeinput of 1500 Coins , your stakeinput will be split.
If you have a Stakeinput of 450 Coins , your stakeinput will be combinied with other inputs lower than 500.
If you have a Stakeinput between 501-999 Coins your input wont split/combine.
The Web Wallet team
The last few weeks we’ve been working very hard on the development of the web wallet and are very happy with the result so far. We expect to deliver the web wallet fully functional before the end of 2017, currently we are working on several security features before moving on to the api for the wallet.
While the functionality of the web wallet is being worked on we have someone working hard on redesigning the look and feel of the wallet to give a better user experience. Some of the security features for your account include: 2 factor authentication, Verification email for actions such as (profile changes, withdrawals) IP / device whitelist.
