    Solar DAO will be buying properties and  build on them solar fields. Then all this energy will be sold directly  to power grids. This will ensure that all produced energy find his buyer  and help local power plants lower their production and environment  pollution. Many people are skeptical in matter of renewable energy,  especially on solar panels. They are thinking that solar panels are  ineffective, fragile and very expensive but that's not true. I'll try to  bust these myths and explain everything in simple but complex way.

    What are solar panels?
“Solar  panels convert solar energy into electrical energy. The most commonly  used solar panels are based on crystalline silicon. They have the  highest key performance indicator and the optimum ratio of price and  quality. Moreover, they are reputable for their longevity of use.” – Solar DAO Whitepaper

    1. They are ineffective. – Myth
Today’s solar panels have about 25% -  35% efficiency. It seems like low number but in reality is quite high.  Remember that petrol engines in your car have about 14% efficiency.
In  future years' technology will improve and companies will be able to  produce panels with 50% efficiency. That’s massive improvement.

    2. They are fragile. – Myth
Solar  panels are very durable. They don’t have any moving parts and this  makes them very durable. They are designed to survive hail storms, winds  faster than 200km/h and variety of weather conditions, temperatures and  other unexpected incidents. Life span of solar panels is about 25  years. That’s huge number. In this time every solar panel will fully ROI  many, many times.

    3. They are expensive. – Partially true
Take a look at Solar DAO numbers from their whitepaper:
PV plant capacity (power that will be produced) – 4 MW (4000kW)
Cost of entire project - $100 per kW, $400,000 for whole plantation
Turnkey construction cost – 3,200,000
Annual production – 5,480,000 kWh per year
Tariff (FiT) - $0,165 per kWh
Earnings - 5 480 000 kWh per year * $0,165 = $ 904 200
Operational costs - $60,000 per year
ROI – less than 4 years
This  means that whole power plant will make about 6 times ROI before it will  become useless. Plants are insured so if there will be some sudden  cataclysm or other misfortune, company will get compensation and  investments will be safe.

    Team behind this project –  this company was founded in 1991 in Krasnodar (Russia) and in total  they’ve implemented more than 70MW of solar projects. This definitely  speaks for itself.
