@jimmy10 @hellvetica Honestly I am putting the majority of my funds into LTC and Steem now and here is why:
1.) I already have a position in BTC and ETH that I am okay with (although I would always love to have more). If you don't have any crypto at all it would suggest some BTC and ETH just to get your feet wet.
2.) LTC is under preforming right now (which is good for profits). I expect LTC to be much more expensive once it gets in the public eye. LTC is going to implement the lightning network and atomic swaps where you can switch between BTC and LTC instantly. When that happens that will be huge for LTC price.
3.) Steem power offers me the ability to secure recurring cash flow. The ROI on Steem power is essentially limitless. So if the price stays the same you will make money. If the price goes down you will make money. If the price goes up you will make more money. It is a no brainer to me.

I use Coinbase and buy using my bank (or credit card if you need it now). Then I just use shape shift of block trades. Not sure where to go to use Paypal. Sorry

Actually those three are good coin, when looking to price and you want to hold for long term I preferably choose to buy verge because I did too for just $0.006 this time you can buy a lot. This is not a financial advice just a comment.

I am not sure with paypal I didn't tried yet, I used prepaid debit card and I bought bitcoin online from Coinmama then I have my Bittrex trading account from there I exchange bitcoin to verge. then just let it there or you can try trade as well I know Its not safe to hodl at any exchanges but that's the only easy way I knew to have verge.
