EOS Strength is a Leader!

in cryptocurrency •  6 years ago

EOS is showing some massive strength and everyone should stay the course long. You can see that it is coming into some resistance of the 200 day MA below, but the RSI is showing incredible strength. I would not plan on selling this until some negative divergences show up on the daily chart and would continue to accumulate. EOS is currently number 4 in marketcap followed closely by LTC (which is ABOVE the 200 day MA actually). Both of these are leaders right now and you want to be IN THE BEST. This is called relative strength my friends. Learn It.

Greetings @heyimsnuffles,

Here's hoping you are correct......very good news indeed!

Right up there with LTC......Lovely....

Cheers!

I still wonder are there any good useable EOS Dapps out there except from gambling? Do you use any EOS Dapps on a regular Basis like we do with Steemit, Partiko, Steemmonsters etc...

There's Trybe.....

I heard of it but never tried it because you need to open up a separate account. I always wonder why Scatter is not working with them...is Trybe worth trying?

Greetings @masterthematrix,

Last I heard Trybe is working with Scatter.

From bleujay's perspective....

it appears that Trybe is for a certain set of users....these users are successful and there are quite a few from Steemit......however, the site has a lot of guidelines/regs in place that make it difficult to manuever. Ie.... post must be approved before going online, posts must be at least three hundred words.....you may not upvote any other poster more than once every 24/48 hours.....etc. These may have changed since I last visited.

It is full of technical and superb articles.....well worth visiting and seeing if it is for you....they also have a Discord channel.....which is helpful.

All the best.

Cheers!

What about the monetization aspect? Are their tokens worth anything, can you trade them, what kind of relation do they have with eos

Greetings @lordbutterfly.

It appears they are really working on it...I do not know enough to comment further.

There are several who are on Steemit and WLS who are also on Trybe....that could answer your query....

Great question!
It might not be reasonable to expect a project that is less than a year old to already have as many applications as one that's three years old. But there are far more dapps being built on EOS than already exist on Steem. It's not even close, actually.
Consider:
EOS already has better wallets and a larger community, and it's not even a social site. Steem is largely relegated to being a social application, without the contractual and business applications that can be as readily built on EOSio. EOSio is endlessly scalable.
As for blockchain activity, Steem was solidly number 1 about a year ago. Today it's number six, with two EOSio projects (including EOS) ahead of it. EOS is solidly number one, with well over 21x as many transactions as STEEM. Even BTS has almost twice as many. http://blocktivity.info/
Don't get me wrong. Steem is great, the community is fantastic and I enjoy building on it. But to compare a three year old multi-million dollar social project that took over two years to develop mature dapps to a <1 year old multi-billion dollar one that already has multiple business dapps and sidechains, plus at least three social sites being built on it right now, probably isn't a reasonable comparison. A year from now it won't even be close, as EOS adoption already vastly outstrips Steem. Marketcap aside, simply look at volume traded and transacted.
STEEM maximalists will likely be disappointed. It's a great tool. I doubt that it'll never even be in the same category with EOS, TRX, TLOS (which has gained surprising momentum so quickly) or ETH, among others.

Greetings @anotherjoe.

Lots of good news.....thank you.

Cheers!

Wow you seem to be an EOS maximalist! Since I didn't even asked the question about which platform is better Steem or EOS. You immediately responded with a vary confrontational comment, which I don't understand why you are comparison those two platforms?
I do own EOS and I have nothing against the project and dapps that are being build, but still which dapps do you use on a regular basis with EOS?
That was my question since I only played a litte Dice, checked out Everipedia and some of the DEX Dapps, but there is no Dapp that I use on a regular basis.
And the only thing I wanted to know is what Dapps are you using, or are you excited for being released in the near term?

There was nothing confrontational at all. You asked about EOS dapps compared to Steem dapps and I made a comparison. I didn't say you were a maximalist either. There's no reason to be defensive. Forgive anything that appeared aggressive.
I don't use the gambling sites, so can't say which ones are best. Trybe will have a new UI out next month, which should be pretty nice. It's already fairly good, with a few challenges. But they're focused on the new one.
U.community is building one too. It's still alpha, but the yellow paper looks promising.
WORBLI is a side chain that is making some amazing strides and gathering momentum. It is unapologetically centralized, but with good reason since it's designed to manage your own personal information. Definitely worth checking out. They should be rolling out some features over the next couple of months too.
Honestly, it's really hard to keep up. New projects and sidechains abound. And that's just EOS. Some of the others might be just as exciting. Check Tron out if you haven't yet. You can only take in so much though.

On your points about EOS vs STEEM, i can mostly agree, but i still think that STEEM is unique enough and different enough from EOS to have moderate success (at the very least) moving forward.

My issue with other blockchains like EOS and TRON is that because the information is extremely scattered, i cant seem to find anything that would possibly provide an earning opportunity like we can find here on STEEM...
I made a 400% ROI on Steemmonster cards and im still earning STEEM.
I make a few STEEM per week from curation here.
Few STEEM a week for posting.
Etc...
Im not sure if EOS has something to offer like that.

It does/doesn't. ;)

EOS may build a social platform. Dan keeps teasing about one, but it's obviously not launched yet.

U.Community is in alpha, as mentioned. And Trybe is gaining traction, with a new UI coming out next month.

So while EOSio as an organization doesn't have anything yet, there are other projects built on the blockchain. I wouldn't be surprised to see a sidechain come out eventually as well. It's quite the endeavor though.

I agree. The information is a bit scattered. It can be frustrating. And trying to keep up is very difficult, at least for me.

Steem has always been great because of its ingenuity and the community is great. But it took a couple of years before some real tools were built for folks to be able to interact. Even then, the code has discouraged a lot of developers because it's so hard to work with. Steemit never made that easy. That aspect has literally cost me thousands, personally. And they never really built much that went beyond their UI, at least not from a user perspective.

I'm heavily in STEEM. I want to see it thrive. And I'm glad to see some of the current innovations being built on it, even if I don't play games or gamble. Time will tell.

Hmm. Would you say Trybe is worth a shot? Can their tokens be traded? WLS for example is priced at 1/8th that of STEEM but the earning potential on Whaleshares is at a decent level.
One of the reason i dont post on something like MINDS is not only due to it being centralized and policed but due to the extremely low earning potential.
Do you know how Trybe compares?

It's really hard to say, in the long-game. Because it's so new, it's highly speculative.
From what I'm seeing on the platform, they're doing all the things that Steemit should have been working on two years ago. I've interacted a bit with the founder and am impressed.
They want to monetize every angle, but also don't want to over-monetize (to the point of chasing people off). You can see that reflected in polls they take regularly. It also reflects that they're sensitive to what their customer base wants to do.
It's not it's own blockchain, like Steem is. That may give Steem an edge, along with an already great community and first mover advantage. But EOSio has massive momentum. Even Ethereum didn't have this sort of momentum at this stage, and look how well it's done. Trybe, being built on EOSio, gets to ride that and is the first mover on the EOSio blockchain. That'll mean something.
Their roadmap already has a lot of the things folks are just now talking about for Steem. They're working on an API, integration with other sites, subsites, groups, subscription services, etc. They have their own wallet and are looking at exchange options, as well as a portfolio tracker.
So, what do you think? We've taken a position in it.
Incidentally, we're working on the ability to post directly to Trybe from Scripsio. It won't be easy, but hopefully we can pull it off so that you could post to both Steem and Trybe simultaneously from Scripsio. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. But I'd encourage anyone to get started on Trybe now. If it doesn't work out, well, it's not the first time. If it does, you might do nicely just like the earliest adopters (first couple of months) of Steem did. Trybe is Trybe.one.

I'm still learning the cryptocurrency world... every little bit of info helps me to understand... thank you for sharing~
