This article reports that the messaging company Telegram is planning to launch its own cryptocurrency. For that purpose, Telegram will launch an ICO worth hundreds of millions of dollars!
However, In my opinion these are only rumours because the whitepaper that article mentions, cannot be found anywhere on the internet as yet. But if this news is true, then like that article says, this crypto can become huge as there are already 180 million users of Telegram and because Telegram is already used as the de facto channel for communication when it comes to the crypto community. Moreover, due to the privacy Telegram provides using its encryption methods, transactions could remain anonymous.
The article also mentions that according to the sources, Telegram would allow users to hold both fiat and Telegram's cryptocurrency in their wallet.
If this news is true, I would be definitely participating in this ICO. What about you guys?
