After a good bit of searching for a solid tool to track all my buys and sells and holdings of cryptocurrencies and tokens, I happened upon this post by Steemit user jhcooper7 (worth a follow; lots of good portfolio management posts). That post described how to use the script developed by GitHub contributor rathergood to integrate Coinmarketcap prices and other data into a Google Sheets workbook.
Based on his instruction, I built a workbook with separate sheets for each of my crypto holdings, to track the individual buy and sell histories, with a summary sheet that uses the coinmarketcap script to track price movement and profit/loss, etc.
If you look at my spreadsheet, you can see all my actual data, cause I don’t care and didn’t feel like making a fake version for sharing. It should not take much more than a cursory look to determine that no one should be modelling their actual holdings after me, but the spreadsheet itself is pretty sweet.
So, if this looks like a good solution or at least starting point for you, rip a copy and have at it.
If you like the tools, please show love to rathergood and jhcooper for their contributions.
