First let me introduce myself. I'm a newly graduated software engineer. I saw Plexcoin campaign on facebook. Before that I had a good knowledge of BTC. As the price of 1 BTC is more than $3300 today, BTC is not affordable for me. I visited the Plexcoin's facebook page where I read different posts. Plexcoin mentioned on its page for the competition with BTC. Unfortunately, there are many other etherium based coins that were launched to compete BTC but BTC is still the king.
Plexcoin will be officially launched in September 5, 2017, but the presale has been started. According to Plexcoin whitepaper, PayPal payment method or any other method that covers buyer's protection is not allowed.
That single point confuses me about whether Plexcoin is scam or legitimate, if it is legitimate then why there is acceptance of buyer protection payment gateways. Why etherscan.io does not show any details about the sold Plexcoin?
