As the crypto space get more mature as we speak, it amazes me that CMC still have such a strong position (US Alexa Rank 41), considered the very immature interface.

However, there are contenders out there.

So far I prefer CoinCheckup.

As you can see the main view have a lot more information:

You can also find additional information about particular coins/tokens.

Steem:

As you can see Steem gets a pretty bad score for Team strength: I will not comment on that.

Steem is also considered Centralized > Hierarcical.

I suppose this is due to the very large Steem holding of @steemit?

Relevant solutions could be to just burn the Steem holdings of @steemit, or airdrop the Steem on all Steemians.

I find CoinCheckup a lot more informative than CMC!

I don't mind the score less or high in some stats. For me chart is important and every alt coin is correcting from surges which happened recently and these correction are resulting in forming base which is important in next leg of up moves and sttem will be highly beneficial in that sense.
Discouraging point is raising in Bitcoin which is breaching support and now standing at important infliction point from where downtrend can start which will put pressure on rest of currencies. For detail analysis click on following link

Thanks for letting us know about this website, @janusface! It feels a lot better to use than Coinnmarketcap. The team strength is incredibly low as you mention, which can be a concern to many investors, but I don't think they are planning on doing any of the things you are suggesting.

I've checked coincheckup now. Its too awesome and nice interface indeed. I think this is much better site to check cryptocurrency progress. Coinmarketcap I've used before. But now onward I'll wish to use coincheckup site.

I'll take a look at it, initially I used CoinGecko, which had substantial errors in its prices, then I started using CoinMarketCap, doing the analysis of the tokens using Google. Although CoinCheckup seems to have much more information.

Have you checked out www.livecoinwatch.com?

It is similar, and I prefer that over CMC. However, it seems it lacks in the further analysis that CoinCheckup offers.

Yes, agreed:) Only thing I dislike is that the price action constantly blink between red and green. You get a little crazy after a while looking at the red/green flickering.

The site lacks a lot of data though on certain coins I own (Lockchain, eBTC and Minexcoin) which Coincheckup got correct.

CMC is the first point for anyone entering crypto. They dropped the ball and people will start to look for alternatives.

All these additional buttons, it scares me :O
When it comes to coinmarketcap it has the simplicity and it does what I want it to do. It also seems to be on better bandwith comparted to coincheckup. It might be a neat site for those who want more indepth analystics in a single overview, but otherwise (like myself) coinmarketcap is still the better preference.

Agreed:) For your purpose, namely seeing that EOS is green, while all the other cryptos are blood red and crashing, CMC does what you want it to do:)

Metoo! But, seriously I was and am bullish on both EOS and BTS, but they both increased in price much faster than I had expected. So, I also want a dual BTS/EOS crash.

For most of us it's just have become a habit, we know there better alternatives, but you stick with the habit. Also the joy and good moments from CMC cannot be eclipsed by the immature interface.

But still, sooner or later we will switch ! Thanks for the info, I will definitely check it out.

Wow this site have very detailed information about every crypto so next time when i have to check price i will go for coin market cap but when i need detailed information i will surely go for coincheckup.

@janusface.....yeah grete to here ..coincheckup is the must better then the coin market cap ..in this coincheckup we will get a instant rate of the coin and also the we can easily buy or sell with that rate we all get confused because of different sites shows the differentvrate and if we want to withdraw or exchange transer the value not show high and we get lose at that late rate causes..so analsis also nice in this coincheckup and present there are lot of coins come to the markets and we are cinfused and affraid if this fake coins of comming and trade sime days and close after instatntly causes the we are felt affaraid of invest but in coincheckup we will find a genine coins with a good rate..
