#1 - Austria-based crypto exchange company Bitpanda, which recently closed a $52 million Series A funding round, has registered its services in France with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
The new license allows the neobroker to offer regulated services under legislation governing operations of digital asset service providers (DASPs), namely France’s PACTE law, one of the first crypto legislative packages passed in Europe.
#2 - FalconX, an all-in-one platform for institutions trading cryptocurrency, has announced an investment from American Express Ventures, which joins existing investors Accel, Accomplice VC, Coinbase Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, Flybridge Capital Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Avon Ventures, a venture capital fund affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments, adding to the $17 million in funding FalconX announced back in May 2020.
