1- Germany’s second largest stock exchange, Boerse Stuttgart, is expanding its crypto-related investments. It has announced intentions to create a “multilateral regulated trading venue” for cryptocurrencies with safe storage services for digital assets. The Boerse also intends to develop a new platform for conducting Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs).
2 - Square generated $37 million in revenue on bitcoin in the second quarter, but it spent almost as much to offer free trading of the volatile cryptocurrency on its Square Cash App. For now, the payments start-up says it's not relying on crypto to add to its bottom line.
"It's not a major monetization engine," Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar said on a call with reporters after releasing second-quarter earnings Wednesday. "The goal is to continue to drive utility in the Cash App."

4 - Japanese technology giant Sony wants to patent two hardware approaches for hosting and maintaining blockchains, newly published documents show.
Sony's two filings are entitled "Electronic Node and Method for Maintaining a Distributed Ledger" and "Device and System," revealing for the first time that the company is working on blockchain-related hardware concepts. They also set the stage for the company to potentially include these devices in a future product.
5 - The Philippine SEC (Security and Exchange Commission) approved draft rules for initial coin offerings (ICOs), ABS CBN News reported. This official approval will pave the way for the legal sale of cryptocurrencies in the Philippines. The Securities and Exchange Commission has released, for public comment, the proposed rules to govern the registration of initial coin offerings, which will be considered when the actual rules will be implemented, SEC Chairman Emilio Aquino said.

Holy shit! this is for real! I actually looked it at before and thought that their trading engine was broken or something and thus the absurd price. I mean I wouldn't have been too far if the mark in my assumption because this is more than thrice the price from other places.
