Crypto Rookie

SO... I am new to crypto and it is interesting to see a whole community of people that I didn't realized existed about 2 weeks ago. I have to say there is so much information out there and constant changes with crypto that it is hard to keep up. Along with this there is an eminent threat to getting hacked. I guess if you take the right precautions then you can stop from being hacked. Even though this is true it always seem that there is a possibility of getting hacked no matter what you do.

Even with the risks I decided to get in this because I saw the opportunity to make some money and too learn new things within the tech world. I have to say it is really hard understanding everything because fuck I am a geology major haha. So I am going through this trying to understand everything and I honestly love it. Might have to do with the fact that I like to gamble and investing/ trading crypto is always a gamble.

Before this I really wasn't to excited about social media. It just seemed like a waste of time and all the stuff on there wasn't anything I was interested in. Joining steemit is a totally new experience. It's like a family of steemians (not sure if I spelt that correctly). Still have a lot to learn and still trying to figure out exactly what do to to make the most out of steemit. Right now trying to understand how to use bots and not fuck up my money.

Cheers to the future and hopefully we all die rich!

Thanks dude I’ll be sure to come to you if I got some questions. Just trying to figure out what coins to invest in and how to make some money cause I’m about to be done with college in one semester.

This is just a taste of the things to come!

Forsure, seen a lot of people make some serious dinero over the past years wish I would of hopped on earlier

crypto is not piece of cake like most people thinks it is game of nerves and emotions and right decision on right time. it is not bubble but it is not game too

You are right about that, gotta I form myself so I can make the right decision

I'm right there with you. I am constantly amazed and excited (and sometimes exasperated) by how much there is to learn in the world. For me too, I'm not even sure I knew the term cryptocurrency a few weeks ago, though I had heard of bitcoin. :)

There is a lot of interesting stuff going on here. Trying to soak up as much as possible.

Yea and honestly it’s a lot of fun, I could do it all day sometimes. That might be though because I just got started. Good to know I’m not the only one that is just getting into this.

Seriously, between writing a post I'm planning for tomorrow, and reading about crypto, my day today went by without me even noticing.

I feel like sometimes it’s a good thing and sometimes that’s a bad thing

If you just always practice good safety, you'll be fine and avoid all the hacks of exchanges and all that.

  • Never leave money in an exchange
  • Always store your seeds and keys somewhere safe, private, and secure.
  • Never give out passwords to anyone, and use a good, secure password manager

If you do all those, you'll be fine. Once you start doing it though, you'll get in the habit, and it'll all become second nature.

I don't know much about voting bots, I think @steemvoter is sort of the most well-known. Check them out.

And yes, we are Steemians!

Thanks for the tips man will definitely keep that in mind. Yea I don’t know anything about bots but apparently they are useful

cryptoholic squad out here!

Hahah hell yea man! Gotta work together so we can all succeed.

I'm a Crypto rookie too and steemit rookie. Haven't got a clue what's going on here cause I joined to follow other Crypto nerds. I've been trading for about 3 weeks on Binance. Any tips on steemit you can share, or how slack works, please share. All the best jgblack

Haha thanks so much and what do you mean by slack?

You can run a secret or closed invite group using SLACK. Here's what I found https://steemit.com/steemslack/@cryptogee/join-the-steemit-secret-club-get-some-slack

Just read through it not sure if it would be beneficial
