Bitconnect Scam : Personal Experience

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago

Bitconnect, the loaning and trade stage that was for quite some time suspected by numerous in the crypto group of being a Ponzi conspire, has reported it's closing down.

In a discharge on its site the stage said the shutdown is credited to "nonstop awful press" encompassing the stage, two stop this instant letters from both Texas and North Carolina's securities sheets, and consistent DDoS assaults on the stage.

While the stage says they're discounting every single extraordinary advance at a rate of $363.62 USD (a normal of the token's cost in the course of the most recent 15 days), the Bitconnect token is as of now exchanging down ~80% and worth under $40, so while clients may have been made entire on a BCC-equivlent, many are positively enduring serious money related misfortunes as far as USD or Bitcoin (which is the means by which they made their unique venture).

Flag all the accounts too

You know, it's pretty frowned upon around these parts for a sister to fuck her own brother... but we'll try to forgive you. 😉

Everyone is getting Rekt this week, lots of crypto dramas.

I'd suggest you just hold the coins given. The price is far too low at the moment, Its better to see what this circus provides in the future than sell for pennies. We will all live and learn from this - feel free to check post regarding my experience here.

How has BitConnect been able to go so far as an obvious Ponzi before being shut down, while folks like Munchee immediately get shut down?

If you invested 10 dollars into Bitconnect in 2017 you would now have 0 dollars.

I dont know who this is or where he gets his infos from, in a way it is saying please we want you to scam a bit more especially if they are buying the tokens for 150$ and "selling" them to us for 363$ but maybe this is the best we can get. If this is true...and imo that is a big if

It’s not true they gave me 3 coins that are valued at 210 when I saw this morning and who knows now but i can’t even put them anywhere at this point so just a big old loss

i too invested a little amount of 600 $ in july and till now able to recover the losses by taking out $700 hahah and now they have given those invested money back in the bcc tokens which is worth of penny learning lesson for all for sure

It sounds like an emotional rollercoaster. I am sorry that this happened to you and all the other people who lost money. It seems your intuition told you at some point it wasn't okay (anymore). I hope you and your brother get the money back somehow. It is an expensive learning experience.

I am happy I did not get involved with Bitconnect, sorry for your losses!

I wonder how many people deposit bitcoins on Bitconnect ...

Sorry to hear. It's sad to see so many Ponzi schemes in the crypto environment. We went to a crypto expo in Barcelona in October and there where so many scammy projects around. Let's hope this doesn't happen too much... let's keep each other informed and avoid future losses. Steem on!
