Important History lesson on Market Splits - HODL or fold?

Imagine getting in when Microsoft just started? Right back in 1986...Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Buying 100 shares at $21 = $2100 - how much would you have earned after 31 years?

Today's Microsoft price is $72.78 per share, so the math - 100 shares at (today/now) $72.78 = $7278. Not that great right? Wrong!

Actually, there have been 9 stock splits over 31 years, your 100 shares would now be around 28,800 shares...

What this means is that your $2100 investment and 31 years of patience, would now be worth around $2 million dollars!!!

Why am I bringing this up?

I am sure you'll agree, that the Segwit, Bitcoin fork/split scenario is worrying, August the 1st is coming quickly and I have been shuffling coins around following the advice of the internet's Cryptocurrency experts. One day someone says LTC is the best place to store your investment, the next day, Fiat, then ETH. It is confusing what to do.

stared out of my window

and tuned into my gut. To make one final decision where to place my investments before the 1/8/2017.

My gut instinct is to HODL. Think about Microsoft, Apple, Amazon. If you had bought in at the start, in the thousands of shares, you'd be richer than practically anyone on Earth now. Sure, the market would've been turbulent over the years, but focusing on the day to day fluctuations means you start thinking to much about it. You get emotional about it.

My advice;

This cryptocurrency thing is only just starting, there is a long way to go yet. In 5- 25 years, Coins we buy today for $0.001 will be, in some instances worth $500+, forget the trends and fads of ICO and Masternodes.

Buy thousands of shares today whilst the bears are around. Paper wallet them. Come back in 5 - 25 years. You will be rich.
