AntShares and Gains - Portfolio Day #3

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

I got a little carried away over the past few days and didn't post any more entries but a lot has gone on. Some great gains through AntShares and a few others and some movement in my portfolio. We will talk about some news and what went down.

News

  • SiaCoin has announce a mysterious Obelisk project on their twitter. The next day they released some info that it is an ASIC specific card for mining Sia. This is good and bad in the sense that the average miner will take a hit while there is now some specialty product just for Sia.

  • The AntShares hype is real and with their announcement of a press conference and affiliation with multiple companies the price x10 within two days. We saw some strange things like how the price was around $3 higher on Bittrex than it was on the Chinese trading sites. The coin also got its nickname "The Chinese Ethereum" and is meant to have a bright future. A lot of hype around this coin and a lot of questions as well.

  • Status ICO sold out in under three hours raising over $270 million which is insane for the crypto sphere. Just at ICO launch it puts the coin at 25th on coinmarketcap.com and has been distributed to over 4k addresses. These ICOs are becoming too big and unstable for the community.

Trades or Potential Trades

Right now I have my eyes on Augur and Ubiq

  • When I bought my ANS for $1.70 a piece I got 130 and was expecting a slow return over the next few months. When it blew up I was ecstatic but also somewhat surprised. I saw my coin almost x10 and knew it wasn't sustainable in the short term. I sold at $12 each coin and split my coin up into a few others.
  • Used funds from ANS sell to up my Ardor and buy into LSK+NEM. I sold BitBay after making some profit to buy into VIA and SwarmCity. Don't remember where I got the rest but I also went into BAT, Redd, and MYST.
  • I really like this SwarmCity entry point and see it as a good product which is undervalued.

Portfolio Holdings

Tier S - Monero, LTC, SC/SiaCoin

  • LTC and Monero have value as a currency that fit two different niches. LTC is used for everyday transactions like the once used BTC and Monero is focused on privacy and the fact that the transactions won't be traced.
  • SiaCoin is riskier than the two but has some of the highest upsides of all coins on the market today. The cloud storage market is growing by 44% every year and growing. The need for a decentralized and cheaper alternative is here in the form of a blockchain. As an added bonus the devs are very active and engage the community a lot.

Tier A - GridCoin, Factom, Decred, LSK, Ardor, and Wagerr

  • Gridcoin is Golem but has a working product that people use. It has been in use for years and just recently started to reward used for running the BIONIC system. Also it doesn't fully compete with Golem as this is more focused on scientific research while Golem is more commercial.
  • Factom is a coin that wants to store information for companies and the world. They are already in deals with big companies in Asia and have a strong use case. Great coin with lots of upside potential.
  • The Decred governance and ticket system are very unique and rewarding. Having the community vote on which direction the coin takes make you have a personal stake and helps make the best outcome for the majority. Introducing lightning transactions soon as well.
  • Ardor is a great coin with amazing development. Similar to ETH but can capitalize the market alongside it.
  • LSK is ETH but uses a different algorithm and has lots of potential. Great dev team and community around it which is promising for longer term.
  • Wagerr is some what risky but the gambling scene is huge and their demo they released today is pretty well put together.

Tier B - Golem, PIVX, NEM, VIA, and SwarmCity

  • Golem is GridCoin but commercial and with a working product could be revolutionary. Risky as there is no demo released but huge upside if it comes through.
  • PIVX is a Dash fork that offers instant, low fee, and anonymous transactions. If Monero doesn't succeed I see PIVX coming through or catching up to Monero.
  • SwarmCity is an actual token that has platforms already. It has an incredibly low market cap of 19mil and seems to have hit an all time low. The roadmap is promising and the devs are pretty active.

Tier C - GAME, BAT, MYST, and Redd

  • GAME is trying to be very revolutionary in the gaming industry by introducing cryptos. Upside is insane but they have already scaled a lot in a shot time period.
  • BAT and MYST I am in solely for the concept and tech.
  • Redd community is insanely active and Redd-ID is suppose to come out soon.

Tier SHIT - MONA

  • Potential PnD I am in

Hey good post but I think Mona is good to go, they are in ATM'S all over Japan and are really being used. The logo is funny, but it's legit!

Interesting I will look into them more, just saw them being promoted by some guy on youtube.
