Another major problem in the sector is the unprofessional and unethical behavior of holding up projects so as to increase added time fee and charge more as against the agreed time and fee.

Another key hindrance to the development of the sector and the low use of the freelance website is the unattractive and exorbitant charges issued by the freelance website owners or companies once payments are made to the freelancer. These fees or charges are often withdrawn from the freelancer's payment. Other websites that choose PayPal and other financial institution as their medium of payment or method of payment collection are also adding to the already existing problem since those payment/ financial institution also charge fees for the use of their platform.

Other problems include non-transparent transactions and activities in the system, use of centralized format in platforms and ineffective customer care system.

The native token of the Gigtricks platform is the Gigbit token GBTC, an ERC 20 token issued on Ethereum which boasts of fast transactions, security, and cheap transaction fees. GBTC can be used for subscription, rewards payment, product and service purchases, advertisement and bounties.
