A few months ago I wrote about Token-as-a-Service (TaaS)

Owning this token, for me, meant access into 50% of quarterly profits made by the TaaS closed-end fund without worrying about hundreds of passwords and wallets. There are transparency tools in place with its Cryptographic Audit implementation, so I like where the TaaS team is going with this financial product.

TaaS tokens were initially sold in a public offering at an average of $0.93. After 3 months of operation, the token is now selling around $2.30 at time of writing, right after the distribution of the first quarterly payout for all token holders - a Token Profitability (ROI) of 30.5%. All I had to do was park my TaaS tokens in an ERC20-compliant Ethereum wallet. The payout was then received in form of Ethers.

With a growing reserve fund and ongoing mid-to-long term investments, the fund is expected to continue to perform well in the coming quarters. Personally, I'm thinking of getting more of these tokens since I'm speculating on its growing Net Asset Value. It certainly did not perform as well as the best, explosive cryptocurrencies in the same period of time, but TaaS remains one of my favourite because it's simple and innovative. Great use of blockchain technology.

Risks are still there, but it's one of those projects that I invest in both the team and their product. Anyway, the TaaS whitepaper is worth reading, and I think it has some good insights into the cryptocurrency market cycles.

What can Steem do for hedge funds?

As far as I know, the TaaS team is currently using some resources for the fund's constant revenue through mining. Don't have an idea yet, but what could the TaaS fund do by powering up a Steem account? What is a good use case for any funds to leverage on Steem?
