Altcoins are the rave these days and some of them are really progressing by leaps and bounds.
What is Lisk?
Lisk is a cryptocurrency which is more closely related to Ethereum than Bitcoin because of the possibility to incorporate DAPPS and Smart Contracts into its system. One thing that sets Lisk apart is it's compatibility with JScript as opposed to Ethereum's native programming language 'Solidity.'
What does that mean?
For non-tech savy folk, all this techno babble can be difficult to understand. Think about it this way... There are millions of javascript coders in the world but only a few who are knowledgable in Solidity. What this means is that once the SDK (Software Development Kit) is released by Lisk in Q4, javascript coders will be extremely busy creating new decentralized applications to run on the LISK network. These applications could be similar to facebook or skype or they may offer features completely different than the applications available today.
Finally I'd like to congratulate them on recently releasing a brand new version of there secure Nano Wallet (1.0). Many new features have been added and I can personally confirm that it is working flawlessly on OS X.

Very good post. Good to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. No matter how populair a coin is. People should always do a proper background check. It surprises me how many coins are out there that don't have their basics right. An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com Since I use this site I make so much less basic investment mistakes. For example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Lisk#analysis For the Lisk Indepth analysis.
