Hi all,
With the incredible spike in interest and investment of cryptocurrencies, I'm both excited and thrilled to have been someone who got in early(ish) on a few alts. However, in this raging(and predictable) market full of new ideas, coins and ICO's I must say - I'm overwhelmed - there are just so-many-options.
As it stands, I have a very diverse portfolio with plenty of good alts but my two favourites are:
- Ripple: My 'first alt-coin love'. I bought in at 0.05c and was absolutely thrilled when it spiked to 0.40c. It was one of the reasons I got so excited by investing in crypto and I plan on seeing it through over the next few years.
- Power Ledger: My latest obsession and definitely a long-term hold. Just missed out on the ICO, but managed to jump in at 0.30c right before it peaked to $1. I think POWR has a lot of potential and I'm thrilled to be supporting an Australian based company.
Now, I know how it goes - "Always do your own research" - which I do - but I'm always interested to hear people opinions and read about their experiences with different coins.
What are you most favoured alts?

Isn't Ripple going against the philosophy of all the other cryptos?

In a lot of ways - yes - but crypto is still a fairly new concept which I don't think has hit a mainstream audience just yet. The fact that they've teamed up with banks is a great way to showcase to a larger audience the benefits of using blockchain technology.
I think once people get more comfortable with this idea, they'll be more open to the other cryptos.

Personally I think it's a bad thing. I prefer to get the banks out of the system completely. We don't need them anymore.
