My first encounter with bitcoin
I was introduced to bitcoins way back 2011, some of my friends had a good forecast on what will happen to bitcoin in the future and yes they did invest some of their hard earned money.
They were encouraging me to invest too, unfortunately aside from I don’t have extra money on that time (even until now haha), I was really so skeptical on its legitimacy, perhaps because cryptocurrency was really an inexplicable word during that time.
There was maybe a good story about bitcoins already but still I find it hard to wager considering that I was really broke that time.
So they failed to convince me.
Now because of some online friends I was also introduced into crypto mining. I mean it’s not about the real mining per se but it’s more on gathering “satoshi” through playing games over the net as well as participating in a lot of bitcoin faucets with all those paid to clicks websites.
I remember I did earned some bucks but of course it’s not enough to buy a house or a new car, haha. I used to spend my hard earned satoshi in e-loading, never even withdrawn cash even once.
I’m sure some of you do have the same experience with me so you can actually relate. Now gone those times wherein I kept on clicking, waiting, clicking and waiting so I could accumulate some cash.
Maybe, though not so sure now but I only earned about 10-20 pesos a week or even less that’s around .20 USD.
Then I meet OneCoin
Then I was introduced and was convinced to join OneCoin, another crptocurrency that most of the people now call it ponzi scheme. I don’t know if it’s really true. But I was able to upsurge my 7,000 pesos investement into more than 100,000 pesos now, unfortunately I don’t have someone to turn to anymore if I want to withdraw my money already.
OneCoin offered a good opportunity, telling its investors/members about OneCoin having its own blockchain and that it’s the first cryptocurrency that is very easy to mine, trade and use.
When I joined OneCoin, I was really thrilled, I was hoping that like bitcoin, it will soar high and will turn my little investment into millions too.
So sad it seems a lot of people are gone now although I can still open my account and I can see activities. If anyone here can shed light to the fate of this cryptocurrency, please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
The most exciting part
Then I meet #steemit. And get acquainted with STEEM and STEEM DOLLAR. I haven’t really had a thorough research and understating about these two but I just go with the flow.
With #steemit, I learn more about STEEM and STEEM DOLLAR every day. The trend of their value made me even excited (more than what I felt when I joined OneCoin). This wonderful platform gives me hope that I could be like my 2 friends in the Philippines who became millionaire because of bitcoin.
I may not lucky enough to become a millionaire if I listen to my friends few years ago and invest around 15, 500 pesos (for 10 bitcoins) I should have a little more than 5 million pesos (100,000 USD) now.
But I strongly believe that #steem could make it happen, if when? That’s something I could not answer at the moment.
So far among the over 1000 cryptocurrencies available on the internet, I only know those that I mentioned above.
More crypto
It may be wise to learn more about those other leading crypto around like Litecoin, Ethereum, Zcash, Dash, Ripple, Monero, etc. but I’m not interested anymore. I wanted to concentrate with #steem although perhaps when I already have a lot of money I can also explore those other best to invest crypto.
Steem on everyone!

We come from a society where Banking Sectors are considered the one & only sector to be banked upon. It's our mentality and thinking ability which compels us to think that only fiat money is legal tender and "cryptocurrency" is all about Ponzi scheme which will come & go with our hard-earned money

I could relate to this post a lot. I had few bitcoins myself lol but when i had them, they were no good but now just see their price. Believe me, i have literally given away bitcoin to my friends for free haha. But just like you, I'm very hopeful about steemit.

I was told about it on 12October 2017 by a friend. We were celebrating my birthday and BTC was trading at around $5600.
90 days down the line BTC went to the moon while I watched from the ground :D
But Steem will take us to the moon, I have that belief
Steem On, My friend :)

Mixbtc.io was created for the bitcoin mixer community with three things in mind, trust, speed, and security.
We understand that using a bitcoin mixer for the first time can be uncomfortable so we recommend splitting larger transactions into multiple ones until you’re comfortable with the process.
