I recently came across a remarkable statistic about how a portfolio comprising of just 1% Bitcoin and 99% cash would have outperformed investing in the US stock market over the past 10 years.
If cryptocurrencies perform in a remotely similar way over the course of the next 10 years, then in my opinion, anyone who wants to potentially benefit financially from this should have at least some exposure to Bitcoin, even if it's just 1% or so.
DISCLAIMER: This is NOT financial advice. I am just offering my opinions. I am not responsible for any investment decisions that you choose to make.
That is actually an amazing performance to be honest and it had never crossed my mind! I intend to get up to 20% of my invested assets into cryptocurrencies over the next year to diversify. Having control of your own assets for the future is a good approach for the long term!

With the gradual adoption of Bitcoin and crypto currencies into the minds of the people and in doing business transactions , I do beleive that Bitcoin will soon become a recognize global currencies that will be used for international transactions . This will lead to a surge in the price of Bitcoin in the future and those investors that hodl onto this precious currency will reap the benefits of their investment @louisthomas

Imagine if everyone in the world had on average a 1% adoption of Bitcoin/Crypto and what it would mean for the market value of the space. We would all be racing each other in our lambos if that happened lol. It's very viable too will just take time :)

Sure Bitcoin has done amazingly well over the last ten years, but such returns are unlikey to be repeated. But I agree that most people should have some exposure to crypto. Especially when there are lots of ways of picking them up for free with airdrops and now online gaming. Just get involved. I'd rather lose a little bit of money if it turns out that crypto doesn't succeed, than feel that I missed an opportunity of a lifetime if it does.

In this scenario IMHO bitcoin will indeed balloon but I do not think the entire asset class will follow. Rather I think BTC will decouple from most of the alts.

Personally I am aiming for 15-20 percent....
On the other hand the 1 percent exposure could really be useful for those who don't have any exposure at all. Makes sense that they add BTC to their portfolio at one percent and this way way they don't stand to loose much and yet still stand to gain tremendously.

Every year I add another 1%...
So ten years that makes 10% total!
Now imagine you have 10 friends and family that duplicate this 1%...
Minimizing risk for yourself as well as everyone!
Win-Win
Now the folks who don't listen and go off track...
All I can say is I tried...
