One error in your post. Poloniex does not in anyway guarantee your loans. There is absolutely risk. If price were to drop very suddenly you could lose coins, if poloniex were to shut down you would lose coins, there are several scenarios that present risk. Please read their own terms of service and help to understand exactly what your risk and exposure is.
