Personally, I have developed a great interest in this project simply because, it relates to many situations in my country (Nigeria). In this part of the world suicide bombers freely invade an entire community and kill hundreds of people. In most situation of panic and anxiety, families would move out of their residential areas just to find refuge, due to the intensity of the crisis. I can only imagine a situation where there are random gunshots and children starts crying and running from one place to the other looking for their parents. Let's say that their search becomes unfruitful. Perhaps, a good Samaritan decides to vacate with them, forgetting document that reveals the child's identity, this is what Tey El-Rjula the CEO of TYKN refers to as "invincible children". He was faced with such a challenge of losing his identity as a result of the Gulf war that took place in Kuwait in 1990. He became a refugee without an identity. So Tey understanding the situation has initiated a project that will help these dejected children in crisis zones around the world to have their identity registered on the blockchain system forever. "Invincible" in the context of TYKN project refers to unfortunate fellows that lack a proof of identity.
ZINC is an acronym of the project application of the TYKN platform which stands for Zero Invincible Children (ZINC). Invincible in the actual sense seems offensive and doesn't really fit into the context, but regarding how it has been explained above, I think we should all get the whole idea.
Project ZINC was created to assist governments and NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations) with a formal authorization of identities of individuals that are victims of violence and war in their countries. TYKN has a very flexible nature that allows it to function at both large and small scale capacities. This project has a way of bringing together various organizations both governmental and non-governmental, working together to achieve one goal under one platform.
It is quite relieving to know that the founder and CEO of this project have been a victim of this challenge, and I won't be wrong to state that he knows how to go about the project better than anyone that has no idea of the experience. Tey knows the right things and people needed to push it through because he was a victim of the challenge that the TYKN project has been created to solve. He learnt how to live with the trauma of losing his proof of existence.
Tey stated in an interview that TYKN will be collaborating with the ministry of defence justice of Dutch and they have also partnered with the Red Cross 510 initiative Netherlands. The major purpose for this collaboration is to create a cost-effective game plan for the verification process and identity management system by leveraging on the blockchain technology.
Now, we shall be doing a brief review of TYKN and their current partners (Red Cross 510 and the government of Dutch)
TYKN PARTNERSHIP WITH RED CROSS 510
RC 510 project is an NGO, technologically-oriented and also a non-profit organisation. This initiative started with a branch of the Red Cross group in the Netherlands. Currently, it is registered in most countries across the globe. Their basic objective is to generate a positive impact globally by putting an end to the inconveniences experienced while rendering a charitable service to the community. They intend to resolve this by providing data solutions needed to hasten these health services. The data solution is a means of identifying patients by going through their record of identification so as to facilitate their health service. RC 510 takes advantage of the blockchain system in providing a fast and accurate data solution. Data solution is simply a way of preserving data.
From the above indication, the RC 510 initiative will be of great help to the TYKN platform. No wonder TYKN platform had to partner with them.
Both platforms are looking forward to executing a successful game plan. The platforms have sought for the best ways to utilize the modern technology in assisting and improving health care services by funding an updated identity verification equipment. This process of funding is achieved via an e-wallet that has the capacity to efficiently and swiftly distribute funds across various regions to the needy. TYKN has created a mobile Application (ANA app) that is available for smartphone users. The ANA app helps the process of verification and identity registration on the blockchain. Information is stored permanently on the TYKN identity system through ANA mobile app. The application is as flexible as the TYKN platform because it operates both offline and online, so one won't have to face the disruption of internet services. The function of the app is broad.
TYKN platform is built on the Ethereum blockchain and has implemented the use of private and public keys on the mobile App (Ana app)
Project ZINC has proven to be of great service to the Dutch Government, which is why they accepted the collaboration between them (Dutch government) and tykn initiative. They don't regret this opportunity as they are eager and willing to work hand-in-hand to ensure that the real world and the blockchain system benefits from this opportunity.
