BTCP: The bag of crap unloads

Good devs create ZCash with nice privacy features and continue to improve it.

Shit devs remove founders fee and then copy everything else from ZCash and rename ZCL to "Bitcoin Private".

Idiots buy ZCL in hype to receive this name change coin that does nothing but copy paste code from ZCL and add "Bitcoin" to the name. Idiots don't sell the ZCL pump and choose to receive the same coin they already own with "Bitcoin" added to the name. Idiots wonder why their identical coin with new name is not worth more money than their coins with old name. Idiots hold 80% bags from not selling the pump.

Good devs get paid for their work via their founders fee on block reward.

Shit devs get paid by fork scam exiting the pump n dump at $200 ZCL.

If you are looking for cash grabs, Bitcoin Private is a perfect example of that. When ZCL fork was announced, its price ran from 5$ to 250$ in a matter of weeks and then down to about 100$ before running back to 200$ in anticipation of big exchange listings and finally crashing down to  80$ when none of the exchanges announced support leaving a whole community of bag holders. What's even more funny is that this coin didn't bring anything new to the table and was practically a name change. So after all the drama, you would expect to receive some decent profit out of this but the troubles were not even close to being over for this community yet. HitBtc came out with an announcement that they will be listing the coin by end of March which helped the pice a little bit but this happiness was short lived as HitBtc has still not listed the coin at the time of writing this article and that brought down the price of the coin to $15 at the start of April.

The reason i am writing this article is because of the latest price action in BTCP. It pumped to more that 3x in the latest bull run before coming down to 37$ at the time of writing. This seems to be because of Rhett has left the team and moved on to next scam. But this price action may attract lot of inexperienced investors in the coin who end up being the future bag holders. Please don't. Only support good project which actually have something to bring to the table.
