Paying 10% in Fees? WTF did I just do?steemCreated with Sketch.

You see.... I've had this balance burning a hole in my paypal account, and I figured I ought to find a way to put some of it into BTC.  There has to be a way right?

So imagine my surprise when I find that there is an "exchange" that will let me buy Second Life Lindens, and then change them into BTC.  I've bee in Second Life for 12 years.  Why have I never heard of such a thing? Off to VirWoX I go, and sure enough, buy lindens with paypal, buy BTC with Lindens.

Now, this really is my own fault.  I should have read the terms and all.  But I'm not always the brightest.  So it was only after I had agreed to buy a certain number of Linden dollars that I realized they were hitting me not only for getting the money in, but then for turning the money into Linden, and then again to get the Linden to BTC, and FINALLY they hit me with a fee for getting the BTC from their system into a wallet.

All Told, over 10% of my original paypal deposit went to VirWoX in fees.  AND AND AND I have to wait up to 48 hours to get my BTC into my wallet!!!

Okay... so the BTC is already purchased at the current price, so MAYBE it will be worth about what I put in by the time I actually get it into my wallet if BTC continues to go up.  But damn.  That hurt.
