Let's use "DIGITAL TOKEN"
Everybody use "CryptoCurrency".
But why?
Just because those cryptocoins are encrypted and they are money?
And Currency? Is it currency? Many expert says that's not currency.
Honestly that's a bad naming.
Good naming should reveal the object's usage and value. CryptoCurrency is just the terminology by some nerds.
We should name it with better idea.
DIGITAL TOKEN
A token is a round flat piece of metal or plastic that is sometimes used instead of money.(Collins Cobuild Advanced Learner's English Dictionary).
WALLAA! That's what we know. Exactly same.
"Digital" make difference with each national currencies and "Token" makes it clear that this is not just money.
DigitalToken can do much more things than money.
Don't call them cryptocurrency. They are DIGITAL TOKEN
While I agree with your reasoning, the term Cryptocurrency is so mainstream now that it's probably way too late to get the world to change it.
