A few weeks ago, the devs at verge made a crowdfunding campaign to "announce a partnership". For this partnership to be announced, they needed a total of 75million xvg for this to go through. Why the developers needed the funds is beyond me, but here I'm just giving the reason why this so called partnership will be a huge letdown.
First off, let's look at Verges track record currently. They are notorious for copy and pasting code. A perfect example of this is from their recent mining
exploit(will be covering it in another article.) Instead of writing code, they took peercoins update and just pasted it into theirs. Not only did this not fix it, they actually hard forked their Network without realizing it. ANY COMPETENT DEVELOPER WOULD OF NOTICED IT. It actually took a miner who goes by ocminer to point out it was a hard fork. As of writing, the fix still isn't implemented, with deposits and withdrawals still suspended on binance.
Speaking of the exploit, that's reason number two. You expect some big partnership (rumor is Amazon lmao) to still happen even though you have an exploit that's still not fixed? Producing an infinite amount of xvg doesn't look like a good idea for any retailer to accept that as a form of payment. If this continues, it'll be worth nothing.
And finally reason number 3, they are notorious for hyping. Take a look at wraith protocol, and how many times they hyped their release? I believe it's 4-5 times(correct me if I'm wrong). And one of the times they hyped it's release, it ended up being the ALPHA. Even with it's release, calling it a privacy coin is questionable at best.
So, what do I think will be the announced partnership? NOT AMAZON, THATS FOR SURE. Amazon is big enough that they could make their own block chain if they wanted to. Best case scenario and I mean BEST, maybe overstock.com(which I still think is unlikely). No big name company with a good track record would not want it's name tied to a shitcoin. Maybe sears since it's going down the drain? XD
If you are a hodler, I either suggest dumping it while it's still up, or even if you are a believer... Dump it the day before. Chances are itll be another letdown from a shitcoin. But hey, who's counting their fuckups?

Also incoming, I'm working on a detailed explanation of the mining exploit. Get your bets ready if the exploit will be fix or not in time!
Verge, have always been a shitcoin, relying on hype rather than technology, relying on "investors" lack of discernment rather than on innovation.
It also means penis in French.
Peniscoin 🌽

Damn right it's shit. And truthfully, I was super tempted to call it penis coin in the title, but my better judgement told me it wasn't a good idea

If you want to see what could happen at the worst case, look up Einsteinium (EMC2) during early December, where the so-called "mind-blowing news" hyped up the coin, with people speculating about Apple or IBM partnership, but the price crashed immediately because the news turned out to be just a mining algorithm change and a few other updates.

I agree, a lot of these teams of developers have so called "set dates" and then then they usually never go through with it. Followed you since I do crypto updates as well!

Well, xvg seems to do it alot more than others. And the attitude the developers have reminds me of burstcoin. And awesome man, I'll take a look at some of your articles.

I take it you are one of the die hard believers of verge. Good luck to you. Also, it would help if you had something else to say, you brought nothing else to the table with your comment.

Funny you mention that, because I already admitted I buy upvotes in a previous article :) and secondly, this isn't fud, these are facts. Also, if you actually looked into bidding for upvotes, you would see that you make little to nothing from it. In fact, you are lucky to break even. It's more so for getting your name out there.
