NOIA Network aims to build a programmable internet by creating a global Software Defined Network (SDN) on the public Internet. NOIA seeks to achieve this by utilizing Segment Routing, IPv6, and the blockchain technology. July 22 was a monumental day for NOIA since their token got listed in the KuCoin exchange, which happens to be one of the biggest exchanges in the world. On August 12, exactly three weeks after the KuCoin Listing, NOIA’s Foundational Members Program kicked in.
Foundational Members Program
The Foundational Members Program is a 5-month airdrop program designed to strengthen and reward the NOIA for holding on to the tokens instead of just selling them off. This is how the program will work:
- The NOIA holders are free to accumulate and stake their tokens before 12th August.
- On 12th August, an initial snapshot of the user’s KuCoin account will be taken to determine the Net Buying Volume (buying volume minus selling volume) of NOIA since token listing on the 22nd of July.
- The initial snapshot will help NOIA in identifying the participants and its first-month reward tranche.
- Over the course of five months, random snapshots will be taken to verify token balances. These snapshots will be used to determine your rewards.
- If you want to exit the program, then you can move your tokens out of your wallet.
- Throughout the program, the participants will be given their rewards every month. There will be a slight delay to validate participants and execute token distribution processes.
NOTE: Participants (except NOIA node operators) must successfully pass KuCoin’s KYC to be eligible for the program.
Reward Tranches
The number of NOIA airdropped will be as such:
- If you own anywhere between 3,000-30,000 NOIA tokens, you will get a monthly bonus of 300 NOIA for a total five-month haul of 1,500 NOIA.
- If you own anywhere between 30,000-300,000 NOIA tokens, you will get a monthly bonus of 4,500 NOIA for a total five-month haul of 22,500 NOIA.
- If you own >300,000 NOIA tokens, you will get a monthly bonus of 60,000 NOIA for a total five-month haul of 300,000 NOIA. In essence, you get back your initial investment.
For NOIA Node Operators
Since they have already completed their KYC application on the NOIA dashboard, they don’t need to the KuCoin KYC to take part in the Foundational Members Program. They can enter the program using the wallet provided on the NOIA dashboard and the tokens they have accumulated before July 22, 2019, provided they have the required amount. The rewards earned will be sent on the wallet they choose to stake their tokens in.
Node operators can also earn a higher reward by transferring additional NOIA tokens to their wallet from KuCoin or anywhere else.
Conclusion
The Foundational Members Program will last for five months, starting on August 12, 2019, and ending on January 12, 2020. The deadline for the program is August 12, 6 pm (Beijing time). The program is a pretty smart strategy to make sure that users don’t just pump and dump NOIA tokens. Also, keep in mind that the initial circulating supply will be only 1.41% of the total token supply. So, if most of their users are incentivized to stake tokens, which are already in a limited supply, it will shoot up its demand, and eventually, its price.
The following is the “Moon Sheet,” i.e., Noia’s speculation as to how the value of NOIA will appreciate as the marketcap increases.
It is important to remember here that this is just a short-term estimate based on pure speculation. There are several other factors which will affect the price as well, such as:
- Getting listed on other exchanges.
- The credibility gained by its partnership with Cisco and Microsoft. Plus, the extra credibility it will achieve with future collaborations.
Cool! Definitely, worth it if it only requires a 150$ investment! Masternode nowadays are ridiculously expensive
