Blockchain, mining and the network ?

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

So I just wanna put this out here and I hope to get a response. I was thinking miners on any crypto network basically connect and verify transaction in the blockchain right? , what I want to know, is that say governments decide to come down hard on crypto currencies and decide to regulate everything, is there any way to stop a miner from connecting to their blockchain network, for example, what if the internet service provider blocks the miner from accessing that specific network ?

Could this threaten the continuity of cryptocurrencies?

Please resteem so that I can get more responses

That would be an extremely unpractical way of attacking cryptos. Mining is done in almost every country in the world, a single government can't really stop it

True, but what if the satellites that internet service providers use are barred from accessing crypto networks ?

Also, do you think it's possible ?

I don't think this is possible. It would be like herding cats to get all countries to agree. if they did try it you would see it a mile away. There are too many millionaires and billionaires involved in crypto businesses to fight it in the courts.
