Here are my cryptocurrency holdings as of this afternoon. Any advice, questions or comments will be welcomed with open arms - always willing to listen to great ideas.
Organized from largest to smallest:
Bitcoin
I avoided much of the red tide today due to being heavy in BTC, but took the opportunity to open up some new positions in BTS and ETH.
Steem
I lost out on monster profits due to being nearly 100% powered up, but was still able to make some meager profits, catching the end of the big run. Looking at over 4k in steem power really gives me pause, but I'm not powering down anytime soon.
Ethereum
Like I mentioned before, I took my first position in Ethereum today. I got in at about .048 BTC and am bullish for the short and long term due to all the ICO centered around the Ethereum blockchain.
VIVA
I became a crownholder during the ICO last week. With VIVA Cash, VIP, Treasury and Award Rights just around the corner, I see VIVA being very profitable in the long term, for me and those who need it.
Peerplays
Along with Bitshares and Steem, I'm super excited for any Graphene blockchain project. Add in that Peerplays covers a 3 billion dollar industry - gambling - and I'm shooting for the moon here.
Dash
I'm holding a very small amount of DASH. I was lending it at Poloniex, but the rates were abysmal. I'm in the hole right now, but patient.
Bitshares
After taking profits a little too early (I sold near 1300 satoshi), I bought back in on the dip today. I plan on holding for a while as I'm very bullish on the Graphene triplets. I also own quite a varied basket of Bitshares UIA - STEEMFACTORY, TRAIL, VIRGROW, TASKMANAGER, etc...
Gridcoin
Currently sitting on a handful of GRC and am planning on holding. I think it is severely undervalued right now. With some of the positive changes the Gridcoin Team (think @cm-steem, @vortac, etc...) is making, I think this has some serious potential in the coming months.
Litecoin/Dogecoin
I'm holding a very small amount of Litecoin, but I'd like to add to my position if a dip occurs. I hold DOGE only until I have enough to sell for something with more of a future.
HumanIQ/ZrCoin
I have a small quantity of ICO tokens from these two new coins. I will most likely be exchanging them for Bitcoin when given the chance - SpaceBTC is still re-launching due to the HumanIQ integration.
Good choices, I hold and trade most of these as well.

I am very interested in Peerplays. How did you purchase the PPY?

Through their ICO website. Super easy.

Buy Altcoins as your wealth, as it is not tied to any government but rather to the people!

Looks like a good basket of holdings, and Bitcoin makes a nice hedge against the alts. Timing is nice for getting into Ethereum during this correction phase.
Have you considered Byteball? It's been rising steadily and you get free Byteball during their monthly distributions just for holding Bitcoin. Next distribution is tonight in fact.
I wrote an intro to Byteball a while back if you're curious about it: https://steemit.com/byteball/@cryptomancer/grab-a-ball-of-bytes-for-fun-and-profit
