We are new to the world of crypto-currencies and blockchain tech.. but it excites us that these two areas could well change the world for the better. We want to start a discussion with those who have more knowledge than us as part of our process of learning and developing new ideas and strategies for what we do.
Our vision is to evolve our 'Good News' platform towards a model of funding that enables us to also deliver positive grass-roots projects and interventions for under-funded or under-valued services where real people can proactively make a difference. We will then amplify these projects as the perfect case studies and examples for how we can all make a positive difference wherever we may be based worldwide.
Steemit is doing it already and hearing about new social media platforms such as APPICS excites us as two instant resources that could be implemented into project visions such as our own.
So can blockchain be used to do more good? Can it enable people whose livelihoods have been affected locally to earn incomes using blockchain enabled platforms? Can it fund homes for the homeless? Can it provide youth-focussed projects in locations where local government funding has been removed?
