Although corporate interests are notoriously slow to react they are certainly not stupid. They know how much potential power the public has when we stand up and take it so I don't see them going down without a fight. Occupy Wall Street was like squirt gun battle compared to what we're accomplishing right now with blockchain technology.

I like the optimism, @bruceb but we need to be as vigilant as a hawk that the original intent and spirit of the cypherpunk movement and cryptocurrency is not violated. And when the jack-boot thugs inevitably turn their attention to freedom-loving communities like ours we should be ready to mobilize and fight back, like a decentralized immune response that we've written into our genetic code.
