What Is Vantum?

Vantum is an ethash algorithm chain, that takes all of what ethereum is and optimizes it’s features for practical mainstream adoption and day-to-day use. The purpose of Vantum is not to simply create a better cryptocurrency, but to create a more useful blockchain that developers can utilize to build applications that bridge the gap between mainstream fiat transactions and faster, more secure, cryptocurrency.

About Vantum

Vantum is a chain based on the Ethash proof-of-work algorithm, it takes all of what Ethereum is and optimizes it for practical mainstream adoption and use. Unlike many protocols which act in direct competition to fiat-based systems, Vantum acts in partnership with it, looking to offer additional value to already established corporate reward and loyalty systems.

Vantum will feature a tiered-master node system that hosts three distinct masternode roles.

• Content nodes for publicly accessible file storage (media files and data) for dApps built on the chain.
• Storage nodes act as backup file servers for digital downloads.
• Premium nodes do all of the above and receive block rewards.

The Vantum Network will be initially targeted to the corporate rewards and loyalty market but has potential applications in any sector that can benefit from truly secure, feature-rich decentralized applications.

The VantX App

VantX is the first decentralized application produced on the Vantum blockchain and built to enable both small and large businesses globally to engage with their customers in the crypto economy, whilst still earning its primary revenue in government-backed fiat currency. We do this by building a platform for the tokenization of corporate customer rewards and providing a system for interoperability between other corporate reward tokens on the network.

Vanta (VNT) is the currency by which the setup fee is paid by corporations looking to setup platform, as well as the setup for the customer app to spend retail tokens.

Like Ether, Vanta is the GAS that powers all transactions on the network as well as the gas for all corporate retail token transactions in the VantX platform. Outside of the Vantum Network, VNT can be used as an exchange of value on exchanges.
