I'm a bit torn on which direction I want this new technology to take me. I could:
1. Begin programming to better understand the technology and then just be a programmer
2. Focus on the enterprise management of private blockchains and effectively steer my career into supporting private blockchains
3. Teach myself day trading cryptocurrency and start a consulting business helping others do the same
4. Teach myself day trading, acquire clients and manage their portfolios alongside my own using various technologies
5. Just enjoy this wonderful technology and watch it grow as I stand idly by on the sidelines fanboi'ing the amazing that is created around…LOL FUCK THAT SHIT!
I have the motivation and the resources to accomplish any of those, but the happy factor fucks it all up. I desperately want to take option 5, but that would NEVER satisfy me.
I desperately want to take option 1 but…programming is just so BORING. I have thousands of ideas and time is the enemy of them all. I need two or three lifetimes (maybe more) to do all the things I think of…
I currently do option 2 in other areas of IT and I have to say, it’s a living, but I'm kind of over it. So I guess option 2 is the laziest option I could take because I'm nearly there already.
Option 3…that's currently driving me pretty hard and likewise, option 4 seems like it would just naturally arrive once option 3 has been achieved.
Honestly, I have struggled my entire life to be satisfied with what I'm doing or where I'm heading and I just can never get there. Once I get really fucking good at something, I need something else to get really fucking good at.
