Hey Rich :),
This post was originally published on my blog the day the ICO launched (about a year ago), so that is what I meant by Tezos launching "today". I do not have any inside knowledge on beta-net launch though given current info it seems beta-net is about 2-3 months away.
I appreciate your position regarding EOS, it is definitely an interesting project. I do agree with you about Ethereum possibly being replaced by a superior project, but my guess is that would take years as Ethereum is heavily entrenched with large industry partnerships which would be hard to replicate. In the end though my interest in Tezos was financial, and the fundamentals were and are there to justify an investment, even though they are heavily delayed.
Thanks for commenting :)
Oh thats a shame, thought we might have some insider-info on the Tezos Beta. HaHa.
By the sounds of it your in a win position already if you managed to invest during the ICO . You must be frustrated with all the delays. Last I heard, their code is being Audited.
I cant disagree with you in regards to Etherium. That makes sense to me.
This year my main hope is for the overall market cap of crypto to grow into the Trillions. I mostly Hodl my investments through the rough and the smooth and ride the exponential market growth. https://www.technologyreview.com/s/607947/the-cryptocurrency-market-is-growing-exponentially/

Yep, that's generally the right outlook. One of my criteria for investment is "Do I feel comfortable hodl'ing this for the next ten years? That really narrows down your investment universe and helps you focus only on the coins with most potential. It also helps you talk yourself out of those "second best" coins we sometimes try to talk ourselves into.
:)
