Hey Everyone. A few days ago a fellow Steemer introduced me to PublishOx. It works similar to Steemit...you get rewarded for publishing original content and for curating other's original work. However, it is a little different, in the sense that everyone starts on the same level. It is not like Steem, where if you purchase a large amount of Steem or SBD on an exchange, you instantly increase your status. PublishOx is the opposite...everyone starts on the bottom. It is up to you to start posting and commenting to start making a name for yourself. Your votes are also limited. You have to wait a specified amount of time in between votes, and you can only vote for one user every 24 hours.
I like the vote limits. This prevents friends from loading up on votes for each other. It keeps the integrity in order. Plus it is a way to gain more exposure for your original work. In order to start publishing, you first have to apply to become an author. Approval usually takes approximately 36 hours. Once, you are approved you can start publishing. While you are waiting for approval, you can read other user's work and if you like what you are reading you can leave a "tip." These tips are actual crypto currencies that get sent to both the user and yourself just for tipping. It is free to tip, but as I stated earlier, you can only tip one user once per 24 hour period and there is a time gap in between giving tips to different users. You will want to set up an ERC-20 wallet in order to receive your tips.
