Back in April 12th, the cryptocurrency sea was over-crowded as hell but a nice UVP and a bitcoin offshore wind allowed one ico to enter the Wikipedia as the sixth-largest amount ever achieved in a crowdfunding project.

After raising 2 million dollars in bitcoin on the ico's first 24h, WAVES were flooded with skepticism.
$16,000,000 USD, 30,000 BTC and 187 days after, the idea of moving payment systems and crowdfunding to the blockchain is still gathering momentum. For the first time since the launch, waves are surpassing the ico price barrier. Merging the basic principles of Ripple with Next and Tether waves are all about simplicity and mass adoption. Instead of developing bitcoin scripting, do everything using contracts which can make things a little bit more complicated waves team is offering a product for a very general audience.

The main end-user client is nothing but a plugin you can install from Chrome or FF store and, if everything goes right, will allow you to transfer, swap and trade custom blockchain tokens on an integrated peer-to-peer exchange. Tokens may represent a share in a crowdfunding project, financial instrument, or any other item with inherent value.
Waves team is facing many challenges, chief among them, how to include fiat currencies as colored coins.
