Semux is a new blockchain platform, currently in beta stadium.
Contrary to Lisk, ARK, Waves, Stratis or Ethereum it is written in Java. FullStack!
The goal of Semux is to deliver a veritable, secure and fast java platform for java dApps and, afaik, smart contracts, coded in Java.
Semux is Java 8 powered!
The Semux Wallet is all you need - you can find all the links on semux.org.
From today on, there is no block reward left for StakeHolders, until Semux goes finally live - this should happen early 2018.
So the Semux Network is basically going to hibernate some blocks.
After this, you can earn Semux by becoming one of the Validators of the network. You have to pay 1000 SEM to become a Delegate and unite enough votes on your delegate to become 1 of 100 Validators.
Block Rewards will be halfed every 2 years - and start with 2 SEM per Block once the network goes live. Rest of the rewards come from transaction fees.
If you do not own enough SEM to become a validator - just join a validator pool: https://semux.info/pool a great opportunity of earning SEMs for just hodling them!
Semux is not yet listed on any exchange - but will be, once the network hits live status.
The best thing of this new project is definitely the java base. I am looking forward finding nice dApps running on this platform. Bringing the JVM to the blockchain is in my opinion the best looking thing for 2018!
And for those who do not like Java - there are other languages on the JVM, that might run here, too, like Kotlin and Scala and maybe, even groovy! Let's have a look!
