Since the cryptocurrency world is slowly gaining worldwide attention and online traction, many investors are now getting their hands over various digital currency investments, or cryptocurrencies for short. However, one must not easily buy a cryptocurrency without knowing the risks that you are getting.
Remember that this industry is unregulated and decentralized, hence, security of your investment is a major issue. A lot of digital currency exchanges are opening but their integrity are not yet highly tested and developed, hence, once should be cautious enough in dealing with them.
Second, cryptocurrency market prices are highly volatile and even with extreme market movements. You may somehow gain 200% of your initial investments within a few days, but you may also be losing all of them another day or two. Unlike the stock market, prices are highly volatile and no price ceilings, floors and trading suspensions are in place in order to protect your investments.
In order to address all of these risks and before you decide to enter the crypto world, one should always remember the following:
1. Enhance your knowledge about Cryptocurrencies
2. Always diversify your portfolio
3. Study the cryptocurrency you plan to invest in
4. Choose a reliable digital currency exchange
5. Always back-up your wallets and online accounts
6. Set your goals - Are you a short trader or aiming for long-term profit?
I hope the above advice will be of great help in your crypto experience. For more crypto news and Philippine-based contents, please don't forget to follow @pilipinoako.

Hi @dinglehopper. I'm using both bittrex and poloniex. Poloniex has a nice interface while Bittrex has more available coins than of poloniex. Both of them has pros and cons, hence, I both prefer the two.
