Hello fellow Steemians and Pivians! Welcome to our "PIVX Steemit Original: Meet a Pivian interview series".
At PIVX, we're all about our community and with our Meet a Pivian interview series we want to put Pivians in the spotlight. Make sure to check in often for a new one!
This time we interviewed a Pivian known as "ONeZetty".
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My AFK name is Guillermo. I'm 35 years old and I live in Cancun, Mexico. I work as a technical support specialist in a Spanish company. My hobbies are staying up to date with technology (of course I love crypto), reading sci-fi books and watching sci-fi movies, I also like reading comic books, listening to heavy metal music, reading mangas and watching anime. I also enjoy vampire history and the gothic culture.
What is your screen name, avatar and how did you get them?
Well, I created my "nickname" many years ago and it must have been around 1998 when I first got on the internet. I combined two words of my favorites topics during that time: "Zet" and "Neo". I got Zet from some vampire story and Neo from The Matrix and when I put them together I landed on "ONeZetty". In those days everyone had numbers in their nicknames and I didn't want that so that made mine original. I also thought having numbers in your nickname was kind of lame.
When and why did you get into cryptocurrency?
I do not remember the exact day, but I remember the price of Bitcoin at that time. It was $120 USD, perhaps this was in 2011. A friend of mine sent me some Satoshi for free and I have been in crypto since then. The first crypto that I bought myself was Bitcoin and I bought it on a Mexican exchange called "Volabit". Nobody imagined what would become of it in a few years from then, it was only the beginning.
When and why did you get into PIVX?
I have to thank my friend Pepe for that. We are part of the Bitcuners crypto community in Cancun and one day he talked about PIVX, so I started to research it and I kept reading more about it. Eventually I found out about the PIVX forum where I read about the great technology. Later I joined the PIVX Slack and Telegram. A while later I read about the PIVXfans program on Fancorps where you can do tasks to get some free PIVX and I joined that program as well. Later I organized a PIVX talk of my own for our community here in Cancun and I shared photos of it and the PIVX community really liked it!
I felt welcome from the first day in got in the community. It really is full of wonderful people and each and every one of them are great Pivians. One of them is someone who calls himself PIVXpromoter and he really is a wonderful person. Thanks to him I started to share some actual PIV with friends and family, but I quickly decided to take it to the next level and I started promoting PIVX all over my city!
What is your favorite thing about PIVX?
It's not easy to choose one single thing. I mean in the beginning I was fascinated by the idea of privacy and security, but since I got involved in the community I must definitely say the community itself is now my favorite thing of PIVX. It really is something else.
What is your favorite color?
I think it's black because of my musical taste, but I surely have a lot of purple in my life these days!
Do you have a crypto dream?
I do have a crypto dream and mine is simply about freedom. Some people are so lucky to have what they have, I hope that someday everyone will have all the opportunities they need to develop any kind of project they want. I hope that people aren't limited in their opportunities, that we're free of wars, that money isn't a problem for people, that skin color or where you're from isn't a problem. Something I love about crypto is that everyone can participate. Sure, there are very rich people in crypto and they are powerful because of it, but it's not a limiting factor for anyone to participate and help out. I'm proof of that.
Last question: Do you have a prediction for PIVX at the end of this year and can you elaborate on that?
I have no idea. Would I like to see PIVX at $100 USD? Of course!!! But at the same time, it doesn't really matter. We need to keep working on our already solid community and make it stronger. If the price rises, we can then handle the waves of trades which could in turn drive the price crazy high. But we need to keep a strong focus on the community, the price will eventually come. I'm glad that at PIVX the most important is the community and I'm proud that we're often helping out others along the way.

Hola, que bueno saber que en México la comunidad de criptomonedas está creciendo, cuando yo empecé en este mundo, hace unos 4 años, había muy poca gente que sabía de su existencia. Saludos desde el Edo. Mex.
