Crypto Mining with a Faraday Cage - Reduces EM Interference for WiFi

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hi! I am very new to Steemit! As an introduction, I will like to share something in crypto mining that not much people were able to help me with when I first started.

For all home miners with dependents getting rowdy for decreased internet speed. I used a simple yet very effective Faraday Cage as the best solution.

Here is an example of how it looks:

The wire mesh conducts the EM Waves and thereby shielding the waves from exiting the mining rig. Typical chicken wire works fine. The wire mesh needs to completely encapsulate the mining rig as big spaces will allow the EM waves to disperse out of the rig, resulting in useless wire mesh around your rig.

My WiFi is now working much better than before. You may still need to tweak the wireless channels and width on your router settings for least interference as possible. You can also use smaller size wire mesh as well, the smaller the holes, the better; just need to keep in mind that the mining rig needs to be properly ventilated.

Hope it helps you,
Cheers!
