Feathercoin has been one of my favorite currencies for a long time.
I believe it's decentralization and the fact that they have implemented segwit and are implementing Lightening network, as well as the fact that it's a fork of litecoin, not to mention that it's one of the oldest "altcoins" means it's not going away.
It's been quietly chugging along in the background of the crypto space for years, seeing big pumps in the past against Bitcoin and the USD.
I have a couple scenarios where Feathercoin could become huge.
I believe that if Litecoin is silver to Bitcoin's gold, Feathercoin might at least be the copper, but I also think Litecoin's centralized nature may be a weakness or a control point for old-school financial institutions and players to gain leverage.
Feathercoin does not have this issue.
Another reason is that there are 16 times as many FTC as there are BTC, in the event that we see the price correlation between LTC and BTC be similar to what it was during the last bull run and BTC gets up to the $100,000 range and over, Litecoin may transition into a store of wealth asset just like Bitcoin is acting now.
In that case, Feathercoin, with it's compatibility to the same payment systems that are being developed for BTC and LTC, may become the currency that people actually use for that always talked about "cup-of-coffee" purchase.
Feathercoin had another pump early this morning up into the upper 500s of satoshis range, had a pullback but the transaction volume on Bittrex has been increasing all day; 26.2 BTC at 8AM,(these are Central Standard U.S. times) 44.7 at 10:30 Am, 55.21 at 1PM and slowing down but still rising at 57.7BTC at 4PM, around the time of this post.
A lot of this volume is people taking profits from the pump but the buying action is keeping pace with the selling.
The RSI sitting perfectly at 50, and the price settling down at the 50% Fibonacci retracement level in a narrowing wedge.
What will happen, it looks like another big move is coming within the next day.
Will it be a two day pump or will it drop back to the levels it was at for the last few weeks?
I know i'll be watching.
