The EMOTIONAL Aspect of Cryptotrading | 30 Days Challenge #3

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

This month I will publish an article about the Blockchain every day, providing useful and informative information on the one hand and providing insights into my learning process on the other. I love the Blockchain and would like to help you to make your potential visible and to carry it into the masses.

Today I want to talk about the emotional aspect of cryptotrading. A circumstance in a domain dominated by men (exception confirm the rule), quickly fade into the background and are superimposed by tools such as technical analysis. If one is not aware of the emotional component, this can have fatal effects on the quality of life..

In my still young crypto career I quickly realized that rising and especially falling prices can quickly affect my emotional state of mind. Expressed exaggeratedly, I was happy when the prices skyrocketed and panicked as soon as they pushed in the opposite direction.

In addition, I'm frankly addicted to checking my Cointracking app (which I can highly recommend) in extremely short time intervals to see if my beloved Coins have gained value again. Since I don't have any regular wage work at the moment and so I have plenty of time to live out this fad, I guess that on some days I look 30-50 times on my mobile phone. Sick, isn't it?

The mechanism that works here is the same as Facebook knows how to exploit as much as possible: with every notification, whether it is a message from a friend or an increasing Ethereum course, dopamine is released in the brain and stimulates our sense of well-being. In the search for the next kick you click again and again.

How do you protect yourself against this?

The first thought that hits me in the head is: HODL, HODL, HODL. Fuck the courses, fuck some hot tips on Reddit. If you have dealt sufficiently with the projects in which you are invested, then you do not have to be bothered by violent course changes. Let things run their course. Choose a direction and stay true to it.

If you still want to inform yourself about the current courses from time to time, you might consider ritualizing this act in some way. Every morning after yoga, a detailed look at your portfolio, for example.

Perhaps you have already dealt with this aspect and found a way to cultivate a more mature approach to the digital world. Tell us about your experiences:)

Call to Action!

So that this article doesn't just disappear and soon fall into oblivion, I would like to get out of this miserable game for the remaining 27 days of my challenge and free myself from this addiction. I will certainly report on my experiences in the coming weeks.

That's it for today again. I hope I could inspire you with my article in some way. If you have any questions or if you think about a topic that I could work on in an article in the next few days, then I am very grateful to you if you get in touch with me.

Of course I appreciate an Upvote & Resteem

See you ;-)

This is not how it works buddy.

Jetzt veräppel doch nicht die bots :D

hahaha :P

ich kaufe, nur um es zu halten. In dem moment wo ich es kaufe ist es für mich abgeschrieben und dann fasse ich es nicht mehr an, egal wie tief der Kurs dann ist und andere verkaufen.....

Richtig so! :D
