A Guide to Using Purse.IO

Purse.io allows you to save anywhere from 5-25% on Amazon.com purchase. Using the platform is a fairly simple experience once you get started. If you missed my article yesterday, I made an attempt to explain how and why these cost savings are real and achievable. Remember, there are two parts to every transaction, the shopper looking for a discount (shopper) and the individual looking to earn bitcoins by purchasing items off your wishlist (earner). Today, I would like to go into some tips and tricks to get the most out of using Purse. Once you are setup on Purse, the shopping experience can be as quick as using Amazon or with a little patience you can achieve a larger savings.

Setup an Account

Setting up an account is easy. You only need to provide your email address to get started! Once you are signed up you are ready to participate. There are several tiers on the Purse platform from Level 1 (Beginner) to Level 6. These tiers are used to control fraud and limit the amount of money that is put at risk at any given time. If your account is Level 1, you are limited to smaller purchases and a 15% discount. As you build a positive reputation you can request higher discounts and have higher limits.

Setup a Public Wishlist on Amazon

If you want to achieve just a basic 5% discount on Amazon you do not need to accomplish this step. In order to name your own discount, to get the larger discounts, you will need to setup a public wishlist on Amazon. This feature allows you to publicly display a list of items for others to purchase, but Amazon keeps your address hidden from the public and remains confidential. When the earner accepts your discount they will then proceed to purchase these items off your wishlist then wait for delivery to be paid. When you setup your wishlist ensure privacy is set to "public", select your shipping address and uncheck "don't spoil my surprises."

Fund your Wallet

Go to the “wallet page” in your Purse account and send cryptocurrency to your wallet. You can send Bitcoin directly or use Shapeshift to send many other cryptocurrencies to your Purse wallet for a 1% fee.

Buy Stuff

Now that your wallet is funded, go buy stuff! You have two options, buy instantly for a 5% discount and set your discount price. With the "buy instantly" option the company Purse will purchase Amazon items for you from their Amazon account and send them to you. You will need to load your address on your Purse account to ensure this can happen. Purse is able to achieve this 5% discount most likely due to the use of the Amazon store card which gives 5% back on all purchases. This option is good for those that want to quickly purchase items who do not have a bank account and cannot get the 5% cash back Amazon card. To start shopping just start typing in the search bar at the top of the Purse homepage.

The second option is to set your own discount. To use this option go to Amazon and add items to your Purse wishlist. Once you have selected what you want to buy, view the list, click share and copy the wishlist link. Go back to Purse and paste your wishlist link in the search bar on the Purse front page. You will then be taken to a page where you can set your own discount. Purse recommends a range between 5 and 15 percent. First-time shoppers should set the discount towards the lower end so your order gets picked up quickly. Since you are new, you have no reputation and those that will be buying from your wishlist will tend not to waste their time on larger discounts without a reputation. Over time you can build your reputation and you will be able to score larger discounts from earners.

Delivery

After your order is picked up by an earner, they are required to load the Amazon order number into the order. Once they have done this you will have real-time shipping information available for the order and you can track until the package is delivered.

The last step in the shopper's process is to confirm delivery of the item. THIS IS IMPORTANT!! When you confirm delivery, bitcoins are transferred to the earner's account. If you delay confirmation YOUR reputation will suffer and impact future discounts. To ensure you are rated highly, ensure you promptly confirm receipt of your order within 6 hours of delivery.

Returns

The best part of this process is that Amazon sent you the product as a gift and therefore to return a product due to defects or unwanted items just go to the Amazon website and request a gift return using the order number that the earner posted on your Purse order.
