Remember Tamagotchi's? That handheld digital pets that you had to feed and take care of every day to keep him alive? If not it's a game where you hatch your egg and get a pet that you then need to care about daily to keep him alive. Sounds fun? Well maybe if you are 10.

Now there is a simmilar game but for grown ups and ones that are into cryptocurrencies. A game where you can earn cryptocurrency for taking good care of your Gotchi's. It's built on the same principle as Tamagotchi's but with a blockchain twist.

Aethia

Is a game built on the Ethereum blockchain, that is leveraging its smart contracts for interaction with the world of Aethia and it's inhabitants.
We intend to keep Aethia free to play, forever. Unfortunately, miners still need to get paid, so gas costs are always present, but otherwise we will be presenting you a regular freemium game.

Gameplay

Aethia is all about raising your pets just like you did with your Tamagotchi's. The pets are blockchains reincarnation of the 90's game and are conveniently named Ethergotchi. Over time your Ethergotchi's will mature, their stats will increase and they will be worth more. Simmilar to Cryptokitties there will be an auction house type system where you will be able to buy and sell your pets. They will be valued on various attributes such as stamina, dexterity, career path and even social standing.

Timeline

February 2nd — February 9th

The game is still in pre-alpha and there is not much to do other than collecting FREE eggs through referrals and claiming a free Alpha egg, there are 30 eggs released every 6 hours.
You have to use their smart contract by sending a 0 ETH transaction.

February 19th — March 19th

Is when the first Alpha stage will start, and you will be able to hatch your eggs and play with your pets, there are six required actions for the egg to hatch which defines behavior on the pet coming out of the egg! This allows you to get up to 15.625 varying results out of a single egg type, regardless of its breed and quality!

The Ethergotchi has 3 phases:

• Egg
• Child
• Mature

Each creature will have five attributes:

• Stamina
• Charisma
• Dexterity
• Intellect
• Strength

When the egg hatches, you can start feeding it and training it.

Your pet will be able to perform different tasks such as:

• Breeding (most important feature as it allows you to make new Ethergotchis)
• Teaching
• World Architecting

Another thing you can do before the alpha releases

Is to get people to join Aethia over your link in order got get FREE eggs. The more people join, the rarer the egg you will get. That's why I would like to ask you, if you are going to play the game to be so thughtful and help me out by using my link to join, because if I get enough refs I could get a 100 ETH worth Legendary egg! Yes, you heard it right, 100 Ethereum worth (currently worth 86 000$ but one day probably millions of dollars when ETH skyrockets again ).

As you can see I already have some referrals, but I really want to try to go for the gold and grab the legendary egg. Would really want to see how it will look, what kind of epic stats will it have, train it and breed to make new ones and make a Ethergotchi team:)

The eggs are going to be pretty damn expensive. I'm not sure who would pay 100 ETH for the legendary eggs but I'm pretty convinced there will be maniacs obsessed enough to spend 80000$ on a game.

You may not know but some people who got into cryptokitties early, before the gas to breed new kittens got too high and killed their profits, were making a lot of money by playing it. I've seen some users with more than 100 000$ worth of kittens.

IMHO the same will happen with Ethergochis and the lucky ones that get in early enough will make some decent profits later on. Don't know about you but I'm not going to miss out on this one.
