This is the third edition of my weekly series about upcoming cryptocurrency events. I have mentioned in my previous post that although news tends to influence the price of cryptocurrency but market stability plays a major role in the price action as well.

Last week we witnessed an extremely bullish movement by Bitcoin which had a negative impact on the prices of most of the altcoins regardless of the market news.

The price of Bitcoin seems to be stable at the moment and this could be the opportunity for alts to shine. I am bringing you the major cryptocurrency events which might help you to make some quick profits but make sure you have your stop loss in place if in case Bitcoin starts another rally.

Upcoming cryptocurrency events for Week 50 (11th-17th Dec):

11th December

Stratis (STRAT): Breeze wallet mainnet beta release with privacy protocol and masternodes.
Ethereum Classic (ETC): Hard fork and reduction of block rewards by 20% at block number 5,000,000 (tentative date).
Pirl (PIRL): Beta version release of the masternodes.
Dent (DENT): DENT will be added to Korean exchange Coinrail.

12th December

Vertcoin (VTC): Vertcoin mining reward will be halved at block 840,000 (tentative date).
Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin Platinum will hard fork at block 498533 (tentative date).
AirSwap (AST): Open beta release of Shapeshift.

13th December

No Major Events

14th December

WeTrust (TRST): Public Tesnet Launch.

15th December

Waves (WAVES): Waves NG on mainnet will go live and hardfork will happen at block 795,000 (tentative date).
ClearPoll (POLL): Release of the ClearPoll App Alpha and token burn at the rate of 1,000 POLL tokens every time a poll is completed up to a maximum of 1 million tokens (10% of total supply).
AltCommunity Coin (ALTCOM): Masternodes will start operating (tentative date).
Bytecoin (BCN): Bytecoin will have a wallet-integrated solution that will allow anyone to create their own Bytecoin based untraceable token (tentative date).
EverGreenCoin (EGC): 2018 Roadmap update (tentative date).

16th December

17th December

Bitcoin (BTC): Super Bitcoin hard fork at the height of 498,888 (tentative date).
Bitcoin Gold (BTG): Bitcoin Gold will be listed on Coinone (tentative date).
Internet of People (IOP): 500 thousand Hydra token airdrop for IOP holders.
