The BitMEX cryptocurrency derivatives exchange warned users about a planned update, as a result of which several functions will be unavailable for several hours on June 4.

According to representatives of the exchange, the update will take from 3 to 5 hours. At the same time, customers will be able to log into their accounts, conduct trading operations and use various API features.

However, the following features will be disabled:

-creating new accounts

-email verification

-enable and disable TFA

-password reset

-withdrawal of funds

-update user settings

-disable trollbox notifications

-Creating, enabling, disabling, and deleting API keys.

Earlier, BitMEX reported that at present, “in anticipation of a hundred-fold market growth,” work is underway to improve the performance of the platform.

The company will most likely not launch new products and services until the overload problem is resolved.

Recall that in April, the head of BitMEX, Arthur Hayes, said that the trading platform will not add support for new financial instruments in the foreseeable future due to the problem of low liquidity of underlying assets.
