Well, that was anti-climatic. I honestly expected to see some swings in the price of EOS in the hours leading up to the token registration deadline for mainnet, but quiet it was.
Calm instead of a Storm
Take a look at the chart below. EOS has basically been stuck in a tight range for the past week and I will admit it has surprised me. Buy the rumor sell the news is usually a reliable mantra to invest with, but EOS has skirted typical investment theory.....and maybe that is a good thing.
Or maybe people do not know what to do since this is basically a first of its kind process and investment.
Holding Registered Tokens
Given we did not get any kind of crazy price push up into the deadline I decided to hold all my EOS. Fingers crossed this all works out, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a sell off once mainnet is fully live and trading is available.
Here's hoping for us to moon though!

I remember holding bitcoin for several years before it exploded. Calm before the storm.

I wasn't really expecting much after that run up to $23 at the end of April. There is usually a cooling period after that kind of price action. That was your end of token distribution/pre-mainnet run-up right there. Seems that the market is usually more clever than the masses and so many people were expecting more of a run-up before mainnet launch. I do think it will trend upwards and I expect $35 - $50 by the end of the year. That is a lot more conservative than many fans predict for EOS. But I kind of think most of the market will be mostly sideways for a year or so. Not a popular prediction but that's what I think. Then in a year or two Bitcoin will be at $80K - $100K, ethereum will be between $6K - $8 K and EOS will be at $800 - $1,200.

I'm of a similar opinion. Would be surprised if we see cryptos substantially higher this year as I think BTC will still be sub 20k come the near year.

Yeah. I'm actually waiting for the sell-off after the mainnet launch. Will buy more after all the ICO launch noise go away.
