DigiByte is a three year old blockchain which caters to cyber security, payments and communications. IT is unclear as to how this will effect the price of DigiByte and a lot of people misunderstand the relationship that DigiByte has with Minecraft. It appears as though this is just a server meant for individuals to play on multiple devices including PC, Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi 3 and others. Basically to sum it up you earn DigiByte for playing minigames and for selling diamonds which you mined in Survival mode. You will also to be able to buy Ranks with your earned DigiByte or with fiat currency via a credit or debit card.

The implementations is to occur on June 10, 2017 according to the creators. DigiByte officially released the plan on October 6, 2016 but appears to have gone mostly unnoticed due to the relatively small market hold. Recently the news has been gaining steam and it created a sharp spike in the price of DGB. The number of players on Minecraft is reported to be in the 40,000,000 range. How many of those will participate in the mining of DGB is still very unknown. There are several forces at play that this may effect. It may produce a higher demand for the crypto causing another upswing in price; it may produce a surplus of DGB thus reducing the price; or I just might be full of shit and nothing will happen. I'm banking on the chance that this has the potential to bring thousands of new people into to the crypto market.

DigiByte as a blockchain appears strong even without Minecraft. The wallet appears to be very secure with a great synchronization speed. The developers are very active in providing support and growing the network. Overall it is a very well organized system.

NIce, that sounds cool. Any info where I can set that up for my servers? And where to start mining?

The best GPU algorithms to mine on are Skein, Groestl and Qubit and you can also mine Scrypt and SHA-256 with an ASIC if you already have one.

Great and quick article, focusing on the point without any hype

Thank you. I dropped another on DigiByte today. I'll try to get more information as it becomes available.

Could someone please explain the digibyte wallet and how i can get my digibyte (Bittrex) onto a digibyte wallet? Thanks.

Solid blog. Interesting to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The future is in blockchain. Cryptos are the new popular kid now, but the market will find it's way just like it did with the Internet boom. Does anyone know about: https://www.coincheckup.com They researched and analyzed every tradable coin out there.
