Lets kick this party off with a little Guru introduction.

I am Secret Guru. I am here to educate you in the ways of entrepreneurship, capital venture investing, cryptocurrency investing, social marketing, content marketing, search engine marketing, and so many other topics that I am going to turn you into a Guru Zen Master of Business.

I am keeping my identity a secret on this network but I have a great deal of experience, have created a few successful businesses in the past, and have a wealth of knowledge and information about many topics.

So lets get started with some cryptocurrency picks.

Crypto Picks:

ANTSHARES (ANS)

My first cryptocurrency investment recommendation is Antshares.

Antshares, are the Chinese version of Bitcoin, only this coin believes it can one up both Bitcoin and Ethereum by being the first major coin to bridge the gap between the cryptocurrency world and the offline world.

If anyone can achieve a goal of bridging offline and cryptocurrency its the Chinese. Even if they fail to do this, its fairly certain that they are going to be the Chinese version of Bitcoin.

Just as when bitcoin began it had to gain momentum before building value, the same is true of Antshares.

It's a great investment because it has the exact same potential as Bitcoin. Buy as much as you can, sit and wait. It will reach the thousands over the next year or two.

HempCoin (THC)

Perhaps the most under values of all coins I invest invest in. It is valued at roughly $.01 USD at the time I write this.

HempCoin is a great investment for the long term because the topic of Hemp, Medical Marijuana, And Recreational Marijuana is not going away anytime soon in the United States.

Investing in a cryptocurrency who's primary focus on and invested in the Hemp and Marijuana Farming and Agriculture industry is a logical thing to do. It only takes one or two of these marijuana shops to invest in the coin for it to explode.

Although its value is low, the HempCoin has existed and maintained stability since its creation as one of the first 30 cryptocurrencies of 2014.

Grow Your Investment:

Growing your investment is the part that most cryptocurrency investors fail to do. Most people have a belief that all they need to do is buy when a coin is low, and sell when its high and thats all there is to it.

That can work, if you are one of the lucky ones. There are however ways to ensure your investment succeeds, or at the very least things you can do to help it along.

If you really want the value of a currency to go up, you should promote the currency. It really is that simple.

Take for example the HempCoin, as it is the easiest to explain with. Imagine you are invested in the coin. How can you help ensure your investment? What you can do is search the internet for marijuana retail stores in America. Call them up on the phone and ask to speak to a manager and/or owner. After you get a manager of owner on the phone, ask them if they accept HempCoin as a form of payment.

They will most definitely say no, but they may just be curious enough to either ask you, or look up for themselves what the coin is about. If they invest a few thousand, it helps the coin.

The point is the more you promote it and get others to also join in your investments, the more valuable your investments become.

Social Marketing your Favorite Coins:

This is the most effective method of getting others to invest in a coin. It doesn't matter if you are the development team of a coin or just someone invested in a coin social marketing should never be forgotten, and it is something most people do all wrong.

For starters, unless you are promoting an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) you should not be looking to promote to others who are active coin developers and teams. Instead you should be looking to get people involved who have likely never before heard of your coin.

Most of the people who I connect with, are people who are just learning about bitcoin. I teach them right away there are other options that are more likely to have a larger percentage increase than that of bitcoin.

I share with them exactly the same things I an sharing here today. I tell them some of my picks and my reasons behind it, I help them get started with their first trading platform, and I do not try to get them to join a thing.

Helping others get involved with the crypto community, helps everyone who invests in currency. No need to ask for payments up front.

Get Involved

The claim there are no guarantee's in life, and to some extent I suppose thats true. With cryptocurrency however, I absolutely guarantee that if you join the crypto community and become active, you will be the next success story.

Just by being a member of Steemit you have already begun to join such a community.

Keep researching cryptocurrencies and learn about other communities, get involved with the forums, and otherwise be active.

Doing so allows you inside scoop to the latest cryptocoins, ICO's, blockchain technologies, and other such projects in the community.

Nice

Helpful post. My 2 cents... I look for things that 'keep coming up' in articles, videos and interviews. ANS/NEO keeps coming up and you mention it again. See - your 'social' part is working! :) Now becoming serious about picking some up. Thank you.

Ouh thanks for 2cents @cornserstone and thank you for article @secret-guru !

Really agree about AntShares, NEO - also believe they will go far more!

Recently wrote my own 10 commandments I follow when investing in CryptoCurrencies :)

Let me add the one I loved from Ray Dalio - "Remain Humble and Cautious - Always ask - What Don't I Know?"

I guess it goes together with Do Your Research! :)

And loved the quote - "Try to be fearful when others are greedy and greedy only when others are fearful.” - Warren Buffet

Excellent article @secret-guru ! thank you! I think most people could learn something from this regardless of what they think they might know. Fair play!

Will be resteeming and upvoting along with following.

I should add a caveat to my comment above, that although I definitely think it's a good thing to get active and drive the success you want to be a part of, underhanded techniques such as those POTENTIALLY being deployed on Reddit are very uncool...

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptomagic/segwit-activation-and-reddit-user-riles-up-bitcoin-cash-community-with-ususd900-000-purchase-hoax

This is slightly amusing, but in a kind of sad way. It makes me want to write a post title "20 places never to trust if you value your money" :)

You mean as in Reddit or newsbtc? I've used Reddit less and less lately as it's kind of out of control.....but still very funny

Reddit itself of course. It is the definitive home of trolls and all bad information :)

Great place for ridiculous comments and memes though!

Still makes me laugh at the way people comment outside of the box there.

Thanks for the great info have you mined ans? What is best wallet for it?

Great post and thank you for the tips. THC coin seems very interesting if that becomes exclusive for that market and that continues to grow.

On a side note, I have some value for you. I noticed a couple of repeated words, if you run your article through the free grammarly tool it will spot any contextual mistakes like that for you!

Have a good day!

Welcome to the Steemit Family we are a group of Whales and Minnows that believe the little guy deserves to earn!

I wanna join haha just got on here

Very interesting post! In my opinion, social marketing is a really good way to help a coin because it creates a community behind the coin, and if you are invested in a coin which has a good project and a great community behind it, you almost have a ticket to the moon!

Great article. Though I do favor Dash more than Hempcoin for this type of purchase. The Dash Pay card is on it's way in about 3 weeks! See Charlie Shrem's interview.

I categorize coins in a multitude of ways, and I avoid any coin that fits into the category of "has no real purpose other than the exact same purpose of bitcoin itself".

Dashcoin is all about being a digital currency that is easy to use and is 100% focused on the transaction process.

Hempcoin on the other hand, is directly tied into the marijuana industry. The likelihood of Hempcoin becoming valuable as more and more states in the USA embrace medical and recreational marijuana use, is very high.

Dash is not directly tied into an industry in such a way. Its value is solely based on its own achievements and advancements and no single industry will give it value outside of that... at least not at this point.

I like Dash also and do think once it becomes more accessible it will do better, but it's a fair point that some coins and projects have much stronger links to the real world or everyday issues.

I am sure to check out both coins, I am in particular curious about the hempcoin. Though I am still a newbie in the cryptoworld and don't have much to invest, a coin like this seems a good future investment with only a few dollars necessary.

Btw, what are ur thoughts on EOS?

I will be blunt with you, if you are just starting out, you shouldn't invest. You should study.

Questions you should be able to answer before you ever drop any money into it are: what coins are in danger of being delisted by the exchange you are going to use, what coins seem to bounce from -50% to +50% rather often, what coins are consistently down in percentages, why can you buy a coin a 3 hours later the value be up 25% yet your earnings are down 10%?

If you don't have the answers to these questions, its not time to invest yet. If you can answer these questions - you shouldn't have to ask what coins to start with because it becomes obvious - you start with the coins where they are down a lot, and then back up - because thats where you can put your money in when its low, and pull it out within a few days having a profit.

It takes skill and understanding the markets to do this - but its is really the only way to begin with a few dollars in my opinion - unless you are dumping a few dollars every few days / a hundred or more a month.

That being said - EOS... not relevant - but all coins with an intent are good - and crypto + blockchain backed security can never be a bad thing.

Well, that didn't give me much insight on EOS ^^ Honestly, I am more of an investor for the long run, and I focus rather on the ideas than make a few quick bucks in a couple of months. I put around 600$+ in Steem, Bitshares and EOS for exactly that reason, that I see a future in it. And with that said, both coins you suggested would be a nice addition.

I've been telling people to invest in ANS/NEO since ANS was $5.00! Everyone laughed, look at me now though! haha!

I bought my first thousand within 30 seconds of it opening on bittrex.

I wish I would've done the same! Sadly I could only afford 10 of em at 5 bucks :P

I also read about ANS a few month ago and wanted to buy some. But it was absolutely impossible to use their wallet on my phone (I was doing a long travel at the time). So I gave up. Now is it better ? how do you buy ANS ?

When a wallet doesn't work for you - the best alternative is a trading platform. If the coin is trading - you can buy it on a platform.

Great post,,thanks so much! Appreciate how you explained your picks :)

Thank you for sharing this very informative and amazing content.

Great writeup.

HempCoin is a great A/B test on the question of whether a crypto currency can be TOO narrowly focused. The usecase of HempCoin can be satisfied by privacy focused coins such as Dash and ZCash, so the question remains to be seen whether a niche coin like Hemp can carve out a network in the ecosystem.

Thanks for sharing dis information.

Hello :) It's great when people share knowledge - tip!

Thanks, excellent post my friend.

Very interesting post ! :)

Upvoted. I'll be resteeming this now :)

Off to a great start. I am a new investor and will be following you! Seems like you are going to create great content

I agree with Antshare (NEO). After the SEC regulated the ICO, the attention for ICO moved to China, so I'd expect Antshare to get some traction because of this, and also because of the Bitcoin Cash influx of money into the cryptocurrency market.

Here is my article about it:
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@rainelemental/day-15-bitcoin-over-usd3000-in-the-next-week-thanks-bitcoin-cash-not-a-trading-advice

Let me know your thoughts!

Great advice @secret-guru
I also advised people to move their coins to NEO, to maximise their profits. Hope you would find it useful.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@atifiqbal1985/why-hodl-is-not-a-good-strategy-always

Yeah, I finally bought a few Ants (Neo) by simply creating an account on Bittrex... Didn't want to since I am already on Polo, but hey, Bittrex seem not so bad after all..

Great advice and great picks :) Any advice on pitching a coin to friends to invest in without coming off as salesman-y?

Very good article. Interesting to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The quality coins are here to stay and it's like buying in at the S&P 500 50 years ago. Cryptos will fall and rise at a more rapit phase any investment market has ever seen. Just hold (literaly) and enjoy the ride. We do need to look better at the insights of every coin. What team is behind it, is there any management. How strong is the product, is there any product at all? An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm really enthusiastic about this site, they let you analyze every single coin out there.

Great info! Thanks for sharing your expertise!

Great Article. I have found a similar article written by a successful investor about how to gain from ico. It may help you to make a decision Take a look : https://steemit.com/crypto/@bijeeshtk/how-i-made-566-gains-by-investing-in-icos
